The Q in LGBTQ+ stands for Queer.
Three meanings of queer:
1. A slur
2 & 3. A way to describe oneself, whether due to being unsure of which exact identity you are, but also if an exact definition doesnt match then this is a word to describe yourself
Gender-queer is the same thing as Definition 2/3, but strictly about gender.
