The Camp

So this is where our story begins, I'm in my health class, trying to pretend to focus on the schoolwork (we all do it, don't deny) and theres this girl that sits across the table from me that absolutely HATES my guts for reasons unknown to most of humanity. Now, I mean, I was INTO this girl at the beginning of the year but she didnt take much liking to me. Anyways, my girlfriend broke up with me on circumstances STILL confuzzling me. And I, Sir Romeo Montague, was trying to win this girls heart back, which didn't work. So...this girl that hates me...let us give her a name, shall we? She will henceforth be known as 'Mrs. Chipmunk'....jk. She will be known as 'Liefling' and if you have the urge to know what that means, use your best friend, Google translate.

So...I have this brilliant idea to get Liefling to talk to her and try to convince her to take me back. At this point in time, Mr. Romeo over here has bad judgement and won't do anything but try to get this girl back. But as days go by, I stop trying. I lose all faith and accept the fact that it was over.

But me and Liefling became buddies after that. She stopped showering me with insults of all sorts (my favourite was "Bitch-Ass Noodle") and I stopped having a fear that she'd oneday tear me limb from limb. So as my Liefling-aphobia wore off, we opened up more and got to know eachother a bit better. I must admit, Term 1 was a slight gigantic fuckup.

Then, came the events. Our health class switched to another room and the year 10 camp was coming up. It's really hard to explain how me and Liefling's relationship was at the time but it was halfway between flirtatious and the friendzone, which was probably the worst place to be at that time. She wasnt going to go to the camp, so my 'intelligent' side took over and made a plan.

Step 1: Get her ass to camp
(rest not important)
Step 523:ask her out

So as you can tell, it was a rather brilliantly thought out plan, or at least could've been if yknow....STEP 1 WORKED...

So...this entire camp filled with kayaking and mountain biking wasnt as exciting as it could've been. I mean, she wouldve been in my group for fucks sake. We couldve had a hell of a good time.

Butttt.....all was not lost, for I still had one thing...my motivation!

*insert cringy music*

So...I got back from camp and that very night I texted her which went NOTHING like this:

"I missed you"
                         "I missed you too"
(Many unimportant detail)
"Liefling/her real name, will you go out with me?"

.....and then life took a drastic turn.....

She typed 3 words that I honestly will never forget...

           "In a heartbeat" she said

And my heart skipped a beat. :D

...I knew that she was pretty much all that mattered to me.

Hope you all got a naaaice long cringe out of that because I didnt.

Its funny, if it's you, it isn't too cringy but if it's your friend you feel the CringeGods awaken.

Anyways...goodbye. Ill continue if I have the courage ;)
