As I stand at the podium, body shaking, I fumble through my note cards one last time before I spoke.
"Harrison Wade was your typical blonde-haired, blue-eyed, boy-next-door football star when I first met him. The closer we got, the more I discovered the person under the mask. My favorite memory of Harrison is something I'll never forget. It's also something I'll never tell a soul. A part of me will always remain there with him in that time and place.
I know everyone expects me to have some long, tear-jerking, gut-wrenching speech but the truth is I don't care. None of you deserve to hear my memories of him. None of you deserve to get to know Harrison like I did. When it came down to it, his own 'best friends' weren't even there for him! How shitty is that? So fuck all of you-"
Tears pour down my face as I'm jerked from the stage and into the drama room.
