Hey everyone! This is my first story and I'm writing this at 1:20 am. (I started it then fell asleep so now I'm back at it at 10 pm).

Constructive criticism is welcomed but take it easy on me!

Sophie's POV

Ok, stay calm. It's only the first day. I look over at my phone noticing that it's 6:45 am already. Man, do I love the snooze button.

I get up, and changed. I find my Camp Half Blood shirt and a pair of black leggings. What, I like the PJO and HOO series.

I get downstairs and see my adoptive parents sitting on the floor playing with my dog Iggy.

See, I was adopted a month ago after my family got in a car accident during my 7th grade year. I'd been at play practice for the little mermaid when I got the call. That summer was hard, but Grady and Edaline took me in and gave me an amazing home. We moved to Oregon last summer because my family wanted a healthier area with trees and a nice small town.

"Morning Sweetie." Iggy was barking so loud I couldn't tell who greeted me.

Suddenly Edaline stood up and gave me a hug. "Need a ride?"

I thought about it for a second, although I a ride would be nice I decided I would walk. Who knows maybe I'll meet someone on the way! What am I saying, I'm an introvert. More likely, I'll trip as I attempt to walk and read at the same time and some one would help me up, forcing me into an interaction.

I decided to go with it anyway. "No thanks, maybe I'll meet someone along the way and become friends."

She stared at me confused. "No offense honey, but you and 'human interaction' don't work too well." She made sure to emphasize the human interaction part.

"Wow, nice to see you believe in my social skills." I couldn't help but laugh as I said it, I'm so lucky to find a family that understands me. It's like they can read my mind.

"I'm serious, it's a short walk and I mught find some neighbors going to my school."

"Fine, if we discuss this any longer you'll be late so get going." She pushed me towards my back pack, which I oh-so-gracefully tripped over.

"You alright there?" Grady finally looked away from the dog joining in on the conversation.

I got up quickly, brushing the dog hair off my legs. "Yeah, I'm fine. Well, I better get going, see you guys after school."

I ran out the door quickly, knowing I couldn't be late on my first day.

As I got out of my yard I noticed 3 kids leave the house across the street. Let me just say, wow. Is everyone in this town a model? I've been here for less then a week and every single person here seems like they are ready to compete in a beauty contest.

There were 2 boys and a girl. There was dark haired boy with crazy teal eyes. To his right, was a girl I assumed to be his sister. She had beautiful brown hair and the same teal eyes. The boy to his left was the odd one out. He had messy blond hair and icy blue eyes. I guess the must have felt my gaze because they all looked up at me confused.

I tried to brush it off quickly, turning away and walking to school when someone yelled at me.

"Hey!" I turned around confused to see the blond one running up to me with a mischievous grin on his face.

"Hi, I'm Keefe Sencen. You must be the new neighbor." I couldn't help but stare at him. Wow, this is seriously crazy, the people here are almost to attractive.

"Ahem!" I was snapped out of my thoughts by the girl. Oh, she definitely doesn't like me, I'm gonna assume from that look she likes Keefe. Oh, right Keefe, I should probably respond.

"Hi, right, sorry! I'm Sophie!" Gods (can't help myself, I've read to many Percy Jackson books not to), I probably sound like a mess right now.

"Well Sophie, it's nice to meet you. I'm gonna assume by the route you're taking you go to to Foxfire."

"Yeah, today's my first day." Gods, sound like such an idiot.

"Well you should walk with us, we go there too." Woah, I actually made a friend.

"That would be great, thanks!" This is so exiting! I am not making a complete fool of myself.

"Now, let me introduce you to my friends." He turned pointing the boy and girl. "This is Fitz and Biana." Fitz waved shyly and Biana rolled her eyes walking away.

"Well she seemed... Friendly." I was kinda surprised be her rudeness, but hey, what can you do.

They other boy Fitz then spoke up. "Yeah, sorry about her. I guess she's used to being the center of attention." I laughed at that. These guys seemed really nice.

Keefe suddenly leaned in whispering something. "By the way, I really like your Camp Half Blood shirt."

This year would definitely be better!

-------------

Hey guys, sorry that was pretty bad. This is my first fanfic so I would like to apologize for the terrible writing. Anyways, I have a lot of ideas for this story so hopefully it will get better as I go.
