"Practice after school. Don't be late either" I growl out to the girls in the hallway

The nod as I push thorough them and down the hall. What can I say, being popular and having the baseball captain as your boyfriend has its perks.

"Hey Luna" Avery greets me

Avery. My best friend and my right hand. She's always been here. Even when we were both shy, little girls and had no other friends besides each other. She's probably the only one I'm not a bitch to. Besides my boyfriend, Austin.

"Aves. You ready for practice today?" I ask unlocking my locker

"I guess. I really didn't get much sleep last night" she yawns

"Your parents again?" i ask closing my locker

She nods. Her parents had been nonstop fighting for the last couple of months. Turns out, her mom had been cheating on her dad. Tragic right? Her dad was the sweetest person I had ever met.

"It'll get better. I promise but if you want, you can sit out and just watch" I shrug

"I really don't think I should, Luna" she frowns

"Well too bad because you are. Now go get to class, I'll see you during free period"

Getting settled, I park my car in the driveway of Matthews district attorneys office. I can see Mr. Matthews arguing with someone over the phone, through his window before I make my way inside. I tie my coat tighter, trying not to reveal anything underneath.

"Well jimmy, I'm gonna need more than that. This evidence is unethical and let's not forget it's not exactly logical either. Somethings happened that isn't showing up in these files. Next time you call, it better be a case that I can actually win" he slams the phone down on his desk with a heavy sigh before his gaze falls on me

"Must of been one hell of a phone call, huh?" I say sitting my purse down on the chair and locking the door

"You realize it's over eighty degrees out right?" He questions with a confused expression on his face

"You're right. I guess it is bit hot. Mind if I take this off?" I ask striping myself of the jacket

Underneath is nothing really. Just a white lingerie set from Victoria's Secret. I can see his eyes bulge and his face lighting up. He huffs out before coming from around the desk and grasping me in his arms.

"A little handsy are we?"

"You'll manage" he says attacking my lips immediately

"Where is Luna? I thought we had practice today?" Addie asks

"We do but I haven't seen her since second period started" I shrug

I look at the time on my phone: 12:45 it read. Luna was usually here early. Already being the first one here and barking at anyone else who had the audacity to be even a minute late to one of her practices. Time was precious when it came to practices with her.

"Should we get started without her?" Paisley questions

"Give it a few more minutes. Maybe she's just running late" I tell the girls

They nod before starting to warm up. I started fidgeting a little due to the fact that I had no idea where Luna was. She always texted me if something happened. I was getting more worried as the seconds turned by but calmed down once I seen her running with her bag in tow.

"Alright, sorry for the delay but I'm here so get up and start doing some sprints. Now!" She barks out orders

None of the girls retaliate as they start jogging off in sprints down the track. Luna grabs her shoes and takes a seat beside me, tying them up.

"Where were you?" I questions

"I had some stuff to take care of. No biggie" shrugging it off as if it were nothing

"Are you sure? I mean-" i start before she cuts me off

"Hey, if I wanted you to know I would of told you. Just drop it" she snaps getting up and starting her own warmups
