Ava couldn't help but to feel anger when she thought about the night. Anger that she felt towards herself, because it was her own fault that she was in this position. It was her fault that she had to live through the painful sift that came every full moon, and tonight was that night.

She had been preparing during the whole day and just ignoring her friends, in case they wanted her help for something. Ava knew that they needed her, but tonight she wasn't able to do anything, she needed to keep them safe, and keep herself from hurting anyone.

Later that day Ava was almost done with all the things she needed to prepare for the night when she heard her mother and brother downstairs.

"Heading out?" Carol asked her son when he walked by her. He didn't really know what to say and Ava could hear his heart raising form her room.

"Yeah... Lunch at the Grill, I've got practice and I'll probably go out after. I'll be late." Tyler said and Ava could hear the nervousness in his voice and how his heart was still raising. She had no idea why he was behaving like this, and she also didn't want him out late on the night of the full moon.

It didn't take Ava long before she decided to hurry down to talk to her brother about tonight, to maybe get him to reconsider and stay home when she heard a knock on the door. Ava were half way down the stairs when Tyler opened the door and Ava couldn't help but to let a smile spread on her face when she saw the girl on the other side.

"Hi." The woman said and smiled up at Tyler, not noticing the girl that was at the top of the stairs.

"Hi." Tyler said back with a confused look on his face, he had no idea who this was.

"Sorry. Rude. You have no idea who I am. I'm Jules, a friend of Mason's from Florida. You must be Tyler." Jules said with a smile and this is when she noticed Ava and her smiled grow even bigger.

"Jules!" Ava said and ran down the stairs, right in to the arms of the older girl. Ava had missed her a lot, and it felt really good to have her hear during the full moon. She were still scared of what could happen when she didn't have Mason with her. But now she had Jules by her side, and for a little bit everything felt okay.

"Yeah. Nicke to meet you." Tyler said looking over at his sister and the older girl. He thought it felt really weird that Ava knew her and he didn't. How could his sister knew a girl he had never met? And someone that was a friend of Mason's? If anything he had been the one that were closer to their uncle. Carol heard the commotion at their front door so she came to join her children and greet the person that had arrived.

"So, I know it's weird for me to just stop by but I'm trying to track down Mason." Jules explained when she had introduced herself to Carol. Ava felt her heart drop and a cold feeling spreading through her stomach. She knew that something must have happened to her uncle for just disappearing like he had, and now that Jules hadn't seen him either she started to think the worst most have happened.
