(part 2) - weekends

my weekends usually consist of hanging out with luke, studying or working. today it was studying with luke.
as i finish clearing my room i hear a light knock at the front door and i race down the stairs yelling "COMING!!!". i open the door and there stands the 6feet tall giraffe i call luke, i smile up at him as he steps indie closing the door. "hi beautiful" he says hugging me and i hug him back tightly. luke has always called me beautiful so it's nothing new. but it puts butterflies in my tummy and i don't understand why. i grab his hand and lead him upstairs to my bedroom covered in band posters and dark grey paint. he flopped down onto my bed with a sigh. "what's up?" i ask setting in my desk chair and spinning around in it like a 5 year old, "oh uhhh..nothing" he hesitates. 'weird' i think to myself. "wanna get started?" i ask and he sits up and just nods. "alright i'll be back i'm gonna get us something to drink" i say while walking out without even asking him because i'll get him one anyway. a few minuets later i'm walking up the stairs and there he is sat on the window chair attached to the wall by the large open window, he seems to be very different today and i have no idea why. i open the door and he turn and looks at me giving me a weak smile. i then place the cups onto the table across the room and walk over and join him on the chair. "luke, seriously what's up, your never like this". "I ALREADY TOLD YOU!...nothings wrong..." he says and his eyes start to water and that's when i know he isn't really okay. i don't say anything but i pull him into a hug and we sit there for a while while i rub small heart shapes onto his back and he cries into my shoulder. 5 minuets after he stopped crying and we just sat there until i pulled back to look at his red blotchy face and it breaks my heart. "luke tell me what's up?" i softly said looking into his deep blue eyes. "mum and dad are fighting again..and mum keeps mentioning how she can't handle our family anymore, and that she needs to leave... she can't leave y/n, if i lose her i don't know what i would do.." he says while trying his best not to break down again right in front of me "luke you know she won't leave, she loves your silly ass way to much to just pack up and leave, she's just going through a rough time and it will pass soon, you just need to be there to help her through it okay?" I told him. "thank you y/n, you mean the world to me, you know that right?" he said looking at me, and i smile a huge smile at him and nod my head and give him a right hug before standing up and walking to the door. "let's ditch studying, let's watch a movie" i said
looking at him and he stands up and smiles following me downstairs to the living room and he puts on a random movie and i grabbed blankets pillows and snacks, i sit with my legs crossed and luke decides to make himself comfortable on my lap using me as a pillow, i don't mind, i start running my hands though his messy hair and he slowly start drifting off into a light sleep. 'he probably didn't sleep lastnight so he needs this' i think to myself i just scroll through my phone for a few hours until he starts to toss and turn in his sleep and as he opens his eyes i look down at him and smile he groans and tries to hide his face with the blankets from embarrassment. "good afternoon sleepy head" i say giggling at him. but he just groans again. after a lot of arguing luke finally gets up off my lap and i can now straighten my legs after 2 hours, luke looks at the time and it's 8pm "i should probably go home.." he said sounding upset. "call me if you need to get out of the house and you can come stay at mine" i said kissing his cheek and showing him out. "thank you y/n, i appreciate it so much, i'll talk later" he said just before he kissed my cheek and left my house and i went upstairs and opened youtube and watching quite a few Shane Dawson videos before drifting off to sleep 30 minuets later.
