He heard Will downstairs.

"Jonathan! Steve's here!"

Jonathan happily walked down the stairs to see his mother and his brother.

"Okay this is the last picture, I promise!"

"Mom!"

"I'm sorry, I'm just so proud my boy."

After she took the last picture, Jonathan opened the door for Steve.

As soon as Steve saw him, His jaw dropped. He could barely talk.

"W-wow, you look... Perfect." Steve said causing Jonathan's cheeks to turn bright red.

"You really think so?"

"Yes of course! you're always so amazing."

Jonathan kissed him and Joyce took a picture.

"Mom!"

"I'm sorry I couldn't help myself! Have fun at prom!"

Jonathan said bye to his mom and his brother and left to Steve's car.

As Jonathan walked out of the car, he felt confident. Like he was invincible, he felt, pride.

He stopped at the door and took a deep breath. There was still a part of him that felt afraid, but he knew that he couldn't feel that way anymore.

Steve looked at him in concern.

"You okay?" He asked.

Jonathan looked at him and smiled.

"We made it."

Steve smiled as well.

"We sure as hell did, Byers."

They smiled at each other, hand in hand.
