High on love (Ayano × Umeji)

( Keep in mind that this world is much peaceful than the original yandere story. Ayano has a crush on Senpai but its just a small crush, not a total obsession just like in the game.
She doesn't murder anyone, or kidnap, or torture, she's just shy and quiet in this chapter. But she's also much more kind and sweet.

In the bus

Yandere chan POV

Akademi high is going on a trip to the fair and Ayano is not excited. She never liked high rollercoasters but the counselor spoke to her and encouraged her to participate, since she was never present in school trips. Does she have a choice?

Tuesday 7:09AM: All the students were lining up in front of the school buses. Ayano was listening to Minseo-Growing up (kpop hell yeah) until the counselor does anything. "This trip better be worth it, not like im looking forward to it." The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement, except for 2 people.. Ayano and Umeji. Ayano just hated high rollercoasters and Umeji is just not the type to even have fun.
Once all the students got in, Ayano plugs in her earbuds and logs in her social media to pass time.
"Settle down everyone. To make sure no one misbehaves, we will asign your places."
A cloud of angry sighs filled the bus as soon as Rino Fuka was done speaking.

The teacher kept naming students in pairs of two until she named the two last students.. "
Umeji Kizuguchi and Ayano Aishi"
Both widen their eyes at the shock. "I really have to sit 1 and a half hour with this jerk?" Ayano tried luring the teacher into changing her seat but
none can do. Guess they'll have to tolerate each other..

Yandere-chan and Umeji took their seats quietly in the back of the transport, doing nothing but giving each other cold glares. Finally, Ayano decided to break the ice by getting out a packet of mochis out of her backpack. She could see Umeji glancing at the sweet dessert.

Umeji POV

"A trip to the fair? Really? What are we, 10? Sitting in a hot bus for more than an hour with a bunch of annoying losers really gets on my nerves. More than school itself." Umeji rants to his fellow delinquents.

"Oh come on. At least we don't have to go on detention this afternoon. We'll stay away from those bitchy counselors for at least a full day." Hokuto replied.

"And we could just gather behind a cotton candy stand or some shit to smoke without being seen."
Hayanari added.
The delinquents nodded.
"I wish Osoro was here.." Umeji thought to himself, the anger in his suddenly turning into sorrow.

"All students of Akademi High are pleaded to join the teachers I repeat, all students of Akademi High are pleaded to join the teachers." Umeji and the delinquents join their respective transports, waiting to get in.

Suddenly, Umeji's attention was looking at Ayano, that quiet girl who was never with the rest of the girls. He knew her because not only do they live close but lets just say Ayano and the delinquents got into a fight and all got beaten up... by this one loser..

She was smiling at something on her phone; "she looks.. pretty?" Umeji almost lost himself there. "What? No? I'm a delinquent. I'm not interested in anyone (exceptforosoro) or anything. I'm rude and unfriendly. There's no way any girl would look cute to me. Get yourself together, man!" Umeji spoke to himself.

Finally, Umeji's mood officially got wrecked when the stupid teacher announced SHE was gonna chose the places.
"I'm hating this bullshit already".

Right when he thought things couldn't get any worse, he found out he's forced to sit with the Ayano chick. At least he's not paired with that annoying green haired bitch. (im sorry midori ily)

Time passed with the other students talking except for him and Ayano. He thpught about maybe starting a comversation to kill his boredom but backed off; he wouldn't want Gaki who was sitting two seats in front to see him socialise.. What would he think?

About 20 minutes in the bus and Umeji is already hungry when Ayano got out a pack of candy.
"They look good..should i ask her for one? Should i? Should i??"

Yandere chan POV

Ayano patted her busmate's shoulder.
"Yeah?" he groaned. Ayano rethought about offering him one of her delicious mochis or not.
"Just wanted to ask if you want one, idiot." the black haired girl spat back, lending him the bag of korean sweets.

Umeji smugly smiled and finally replied with "why not?", fetching one of the strawberry mochis and leaving Ayano joyful. She decided this is a nice opportunity to "catch up" and maybe make a new friend?

"Sorry for yesterday. I'm not interested in physical fights with anyone, i was just defending myself and there's no way I'm missing class to rest at that weird nurse's room." Umeji seemed to approve with her answer.

"That nurse sure as hell is weird. But, i guess it doesn't mean shit now. It's a skill to be able to beat 5 delinquents like that. You earned our respect."

Damn, i was expecting him to snap or ignore me but he's not that of an ass without his friends I'm assuming.

"She looks like a christmas decoration." Umeji chuckled at what she said.

Ayano offered him another mochi and they kept laughing and talking about everything.

Umeji POV

I was about to fall asleep when i felt a hand on my shoulder. I wanted to cuss but i remembered this is the girl who succeeded in beating the shit out of me. I have to respect her. I just answered in "yeah"

"Just wanted to ask if you want one, idiot." she replied with an amused look on her face. She actually offered me some food.. I mean it was about time ugh! I wanted one bad so i gladly accepted her request.

A few minutes later she spoke up: "Sorry for yesterday........"

I nodded my head slowly. Pff i couldn't care less about apologies but we're on the same thought about the school nurse.

We kept talking for the next 30 minutes.. Her waking me up was maybe worth it, and she better be grateful! It's not everyday that I'm friendly like this. I don't even know why i bother wasting my voice for her! But she's okay i guess... Maybe Osoro was wrong about her... Maybe she's not as bad as Osoro said she was..
