I WALKED INTO DETENTION WITH AN UNAMUSED FACE.

Detention for me was like a 7th period

Most of the time I was here with Charlotte because she's the reason that I get in detention

You stick gum in someone's head once and y'all are lifetime enemies

I just couldn't stand being in the same room as her

We were always sitting on opposite sides of the room

I saw one of my friends, Trey and decided to sit next to them

"Aye, my man" I said loudly dropping my book bag on the floor

"Shut up" the detention teacher said

"Copy that Ms. Ornell" I said pointing to her

Me and Trey started quietly talking about girls in the school

Ms. Ornell just sighed

She really didn't get paid enough for this

She just gave up on our swearing problem

"Can I help you" she almost shouted

I walked into my subdivision

I always walked home it was peaceful

I reached my house and jogged up the stairs

I saw Riele at her door

She was struggling to open it

Her dumbass couldn't open her door

It was cold as shit out side

I easily opened my door

Luckly for me my parents and piper were in the city for pipers 3 day field trip

I preferred to be alone

When I got to my room I peaked the window

She was still out there on there on her phone

I felt like being petty so I walked outside in a warm jacket

She looked at me with a pissed look

"Charolatte why are you still outside it's so cold" I said leaning on the porches rail

"Shut the fuck up" she hollered

"And I was just going to invite you in" I said in a teasing voice

"I don't want to go in your house Henry" she said

I chuckled turning around

"Okay" I said

"Wait" she said

I turned around

"You were really gonna leave me out here" she said walking to my driveway

"Can I still go in" she asked

I saw a spark of hope in her eyes

"No" I said slamming the door in her face

I laughed running up my stairs

IT WAS GETTING DARK AND I HATED THE DARK.

My mom worked late at the hospital and she changed the locks in the house so my dad couldn't come and open the door whenever.

I swallowed my pride and walked over to Henry's house

I hesitated before knocking

He opened the door

"Can I come in" I said rolling my eyes

"It's getting dark" I said in a duh tone
