"Sam, come on, it's almost noon."
I groaned when she grabbed my leg and shook it. "Leave me alone." I mumbled.
"Samantha."
"Mom."
I felt the bed dip as she sat down. Her hand found my face as she started stroking it lightly. "What's going on baby?"
"Nothing, teenagers need sleep." I said into my pillow.
She sighed slightly. "Come on, I can make you lunch and then I can help you with your homework. Then we can maybe go shopping or something. I'll make your favorite for dinner." She tried convincing me.
I held in the groan when she mentioned homework. It was the last thing on my mind right now. "Fine." I said and opened my eyes. My mom was looking at me with her warm brown eyes and a soft smile.
"There you are."
I smiled slightly and stretched. Even though she talked to me like I was a baby, I still liked it sometimes.
I sat up and as soon as I did she hugged me. I hugged her back and when she went to pull I way I tightened my arms around her. She sighed and I could feel her play with the ends of my hair.
"What do you want for lunch baby?" She asked all of a sudden. I just shrugged. "Let's go downstairs and check what we have." I hesitated before nodding and let go of her. We both stood up before walking downstairs.
I saw my other mom sitting at the table with her laptop in front of her, typing something. She looked up when we entered. "Look who's up." She smiled at me.
"Good morning."
"Now that's a stretch." She grinned. "Since it's twelve already."
"I was gonna make lunch, you want some too?"
"Yes please, that'd be great." She said and went back to her laptop.
"Sam, go get your homework." I groaned.
"I hate doing homework." I said and went to fetch my bag.
"That's why we're gonna help you."
"No you're gonna help me because I'm stupid." I mumbled under my breath as I returned to the table and threw my bag on it.
My mom jumped. "Jesus you almost gave me a heart attack."
"Lauren! Don't say that!" Was heard from the kitchen.
She just shook her head and closed her laptop. "Okay, what do you have to do?"
I sat down beside her and shrugged. "Math, english and history." I mumbled as I started fiddling with my fingers.
"Let's see history first." I pulled out my book and question sheet and handed it to her. "See, your halfway done so this shouldn't take long."
"Everyone else finished in class." I mumbled.
She just pulled out my pencil case and handed it to me. "And you didn't, so what! We'll finish this now."
When we were on the last question, my mom came out with three plates and sat down by us. We sat and ate and I started on English and they helped me and by the time the food was finished, English was too.
"Now onto your favorite." My mom said and pulled out my math book.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, my favorite, that's why I got a D."
"Come on, you can do this." My mom smiled softly and tucked a stray hair behind my ear. "Just focus."
"Okay so," I tried focusing as my raven haired mom tried explaining to me what I was supposed to do. She did the first few then made me try on my own. "X equals?"
