Chapter 16: Midnight

YOUR POV:

"I think we should trust her." I said. They nodded. I looked at my watch. Wow, we have been arguing for about 3 hours. That means it is 23:56 (11:56 PM) at the moment. Just 4 minutes left untill Ariane will come for us. 

"Is it just me or is it chilly in here?" I asked. Probably I am the only one because of my nerves. "It is a bit chilly in here but, it is the basement so I think it is normal." Marcus said. Then we heard footsteps. This was it, the moment of truth. 

The tree of us turned around to face the door. We heard the lock being opend. Ariane stood there. "Come, we don't have the whole night!" She said. She was nervous, you could see that. She was turning different ways to contain herself.

"Guys! What are you waiting for?" She asked. I snapped out of my 'world' and went to the door. The twins, they were following behind me, still not sure if I made the right choice. "Okay, we need te stay quiet, I already informed the police about this. They are waiting for you tree to come out. If you are out of the house, go left, 'till the end of the street." She said.

"There is a police car, they will bring you to the station. The other police men will come out of there spots to arrest the pyscho's." She said while opening the front door. I thanked her and quickly walked out. I saw the car standing, the feeling is trustable.

The officer opend the door for us 3. He drove us to the station. "It is okay now, you are safe. You need to thank the girl who did this." The man said. "We already thanked her, but we will thank her again when we see her." I said to the officer. It is obvious that I will thank her.

"Why didn't you know that she was a pshyco? I mean she did this so many times. We caught her once but we placed her into a prison that wasn't so secured. This time she will have a hard time with getting out. I will make sure she will never see the free life again." He said. Did something happen? 

"Sir, did something happen with her and you in the past? I mean..." I said trailing off. "Actually yes, she tried to kill my wife, and the girlfriend of my son. She said my son was the love of her life. That if she didn't get him, nobody will. My wife was brave to stand up to her. But she has a scar for the rest of her life." He said.

"I am so sorry sir." I said. The boys said sorry too. He said it was not our fault. I didn't know anything about her at all. I thought I knew her... I was talking with Marcus and Martinus about moving to Norway but we were interrupted.

"Hanna has been caught, the same with Jason and Jennifer. There will be a court tomorrow so that you can travel in safety." He said. I hugged the twins and let myself fall to sleep.

Finally some rest.
