When Sofia Wells moves in next door to Zara Hart at the beginning of summer, Zara and her best friend Maia Smalls decide to befriend her. Right from the start, Zara is drawn to Sofia; the girl who seems to be made up of stars and warmth. When Zara is with her, life seems that little bit better– for a while, she can push her anxiety and insomnia to the back of her mind, and just live.

Sofia Wells makes Zara Hart feel invincible.

As time goes on, the trio form a strong bond. Yet Sofia still doesn't let them know the real reason for her having moved to Hillington– She has cancer, and her family moved for better access to medical facilities. Unless a treatment can be found that works, Sofia only has 4 months left.

And yet Sofia keeps on smiling.

When Zara finds out, she is devastated. Never before has she truly appreciated how cruel life can be. The group decides to make a bucket list of 15 things that Sofia is adamant she has to experience. Go skydiving, go to a party, kiss someone...

And so the adventure begins.
