Glizzy • Zion

"Zion!" My manager shouted in the break room.

"Yessss." I groaned.

"We got a customer up front that needs help." She tells me.

"I'm still on break." I remind her.

"Do you want it to be permanent?" She asked.

I roll my eyes and wrap my unfinished chipotle back up.

"That's what I thought." She said walking off.

I flicked her off behind her back and walked out onto the sales floor.

A lightskin boy was standing around looking lost until he spotted me and smiled.

I smiled back walking over to him.

"You need help?" I asked him.

"Can I get this in a 7 please...." He tilted his head to read my name tag. "Z-Zion?"

I nodded and took the shoe from him.

"I'll be right back." I told him.

He smiled and sat down.

I walked to the storage room looking for the shoe he wanted...no luck.

Damn he's going to be disappointed, there's no more 7s.

I walked back out and he smiled at me until he noticed I was empty handed.

"Don't tell me you didn't have it." He pouted.

"I'm sorry, we're all out of 7s." I tell him.

He looked heart broken.

"Hey, I can help you find something better." I said trying to lighten his mood.

"I really really wanted those." He whined.

I felt like I was talking to a 7 year old in a 17 year old body.

"Jordan's are played out anyway." I tell him.
"Vans are much better."

"V-vans?" He asked.

"You don't know about Vans?" I asked.

He bit his lip and shook his head.

"That is not acceptable, follow me." I tell him.

He looked up at me excitedly and got up.

I led him to the Vans section and his eyes lit up .

"Ooooh I want them!" He squealed.

"I want red, black, those checker ones, the blue ones and oh those too." He said pointing to a light pink pair.

"Size 7 right?" I asked.
