Oodles Of Doodles [Art Book]

OC dump!!

I coullllld be posting my old art first but I don't have my school sketchbook from last year with me cuz i'm on vacation SO this is what you get instead mwahahahahha

This universe I call the Worlds universe :P It's a major WIP so I'm only providing some basic information that's a) subject to change and b) may even be undecided. I actually just changed my main 2 characters' names a few months ago, despite having worked on this story with the saME NAMES for almost 3 years, soo whatcha gonna do.

(ignore the really bad photo cuz my notebook refuses to cooperate with me also i spent significantly less time on this than the last piece, there's like a 900% guarantee that this art book will be filled with ~varying quality~)

Also y'all I swear I draw them more often I just. Don't have my sketchbook with me so I had to edit a picture I took to show my friend, *new yorker voice* DO YOU SEE WHAT IM WORKIN WITH HERE????

From left to right:

Orange: KENZIE (Mackenzie Ki Myung) — 14/INFJ/aroace

Kenzie, my child. Kenzie and AJ are based on the cartoon protagonist duo that I love so much (Dipper and Mabel, Star and Marco, Wirt and Greg, etc) (but with a realism twist!) so she's technically the "main" character, though I consider AJ to be a main character, too. She's introspective, sarcastic, a major overthinker, and a little too closed off and bitter. Think the personality of an old, snappy, near-retirement police officer mashed with a socially awkward 14-year-old girl. I still love her, though. She's a fantasy writer and a total nerd. She's teaching herself how to cook, coping with mental health, learNING THAT PEOPLE LOVE AND APPRECIATE HER GOSHDARNIT and she is my chILD THAT NEEDS PROTECTING-

Green: AJ (Arthur James Brown) — 14/ENFP/trans??? maybe??? & pan

So both Kenzie and AJ are also highly based off of myself and people I know, AJ definitely taking more inspiration from the latter. If Kenzie takes herself too seriously, then AJ doesn't take himself seriously enough. He is constantly joking around, which is helpful considering his best friend is so pessimistic. He's somewhat impulsive and can make stupid decisions, but usually means well and is very kind-hearted. And he's an artist. And the total embodiment of the Chaotic Good alignment type, especially when it comes to art. He's also really protective of his friends and his younger siblings, but sometimes he can forget to take care of himself. Uhh what else about him? He likes video games, has been in musicals, there's his family life but I shall talk about that later. Yeah. All around 10/10 child that needs protecting.

Blue- DEAN (Dean Arya) — 15/bi

Dean, Dean, the meme machine, never takes things seriously, he and AJ are buddies, drives Kenzie to insanity~ In all seriousness, Dean is new compared to all the others, I created him a few months ago vs everyone else 3 years ago. He's a band kid, plays 73728 instruments, sometimes writes songs, also overworks himself a lot and despite his jokey attitude he nEEDS TO LEARN TO TAKE A BREAK SOMETIMES. Also, he and AJ are A Ship. Like, mutual pining and whatnot. Join PeaceTheScene in the league of shippers. And i'm toying with the idea of him being an exchange/transfer/whatEVER student. Other than that, I... haven't developed him all that much. I feel bad. I'm actually going through a mbti crisis with him. Help.

Pink- TESS (Tessa Walsh) — 13/ESTP

Tess was originally shoehorned in at the end of my first plot, and didn't have much of a personality. Now, she's a foil for the more artsy kids that make up the group. She's an 8th grader, she plays lacrosse (and some other winter sport that I haven't decided on yet), does pretty well in school, etc, but her sense of humor is on-par with AJ's so Kenzie and AJ immediately made friends with her. She's sort of the 'straight man' of the group (despite not being straight, y'all) because everyone else can sort of get stuck in their own heads and she's more focused in  the moment. (she's pretty underdeveloped but we're just gonna dhhsjsjsjs not mention that)

Purple- OLLIE (Oliver Walsh) — 13

Ollie was actually a year younger than Tess originally and they weren't related, but I decided to have them be twins + vaguely base them off of the twins in my friend group. Ollie likes video games, probably way too much, and he's one of those kids that wants to be a YouTuber? He puts out videos... they're... okay. Mostly just him and his friends playing video games. The editing is good. Kenzie likes hanging out with him because he has a bit of a director's mind which helps her writing, and he is a Fellow Introvert in a friend group of ambiverts/extroverts. He needs the most work out of the 5. Yikes.

The reason why I call it the Worlds universe is because Kenzie and AJ are doing a comic together called Worlds and... that's as far as I got.

The girl in red is named Penny, and Tess has a crush on her. Hence the hopeless romantic bit for her name.

Also they're usually not color coordinated and they have like actual color palates I just put them with colors I associate them with because i'm lazy

Also Kenzie's design is a little simplified because i'm used to drawing her for my animatic (yes that's a thing that i'll never finish) and i draw her probably more than everyone else combined so she just got simplified over the years idk
