Take My Hand, Run With Me

In this futuristic city

Conceived with its 10th anniversary on the horizon

The shining sun

Glaring glass

With squeaky shoes and loud slaps

Voices from allies

Family

Guiding me from my ear

And at the crime scene of someone I hold dear

"I'm not like you, running will just make me look guilty." She told me as I make my escape

Shards fly past my hair, flying against the Focus

My vision guiding the way

Through vents, over rooftops, and rolls on landing,

Resistance I'm met with

"HEY! DROP THE BAG AND PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM! OR WE WILL OPEN FIRE!"

Adrenaline pumps through me in a zip line and fist fights

Firearms for defense aren't my strong suit

Useful tools, I'll still utilize

Training through the basics

Flips

And disarms

I'm ran through the ropes, keeping sharp

Then the mystery unfolds of who killed our friend

A family name cleared after revenge is taken

Now my backstory is told

Bringing light to my past

The long-awaited reflection finally being shown

So now that you know me, I say only this to a new member of our family

Take My Hand, Run With Me

While we're both

Still Alive
