Draco Malfoy one shot

The room was dark and eerily quiet with the only light in the room coming from the TV screen in front of you. Tonight was your movie night with Draco and you had promised that you would let him pick out tonight's movie - he wanted to know more about Muggle inventions seeing as how you were Muggle-born.

Right now, Draco was rifling away through your DVD collection in an attempt to find a movie he would be interested in the most. However, you were becoming irritated because he was taking too long and the bowl of popcorn in your lap was starting to become cold.

You grunted at him in irritation. "Draco. Just pick a movie. It shouldn't be this hard."

Draco waved you off, his full concentration set on finding the movie he had seen in your compilation of films.

"I'm almost done." he said hurriedly, "I just need to find the right one."

You sighed but said nothing as you lay down on your side and put the bowl on the floor. At this rate, you would fall asleep if Draco didn't pick something right now.

"A-ha!" he exclaimed, "Found it!"

You yawned as you responded, "That's great babe. Now put it in before I fall asleep."

Within seconds, Draco had inserted the movie in the DVD player and closed it, hurriedly making his way over to you. He sat down beside and tugged you by your arms until you finally sat up and cuddled into his side.

"What are we watching?" you mumbled sleepily.

Draco smiled cheekily at the screen and snickered lightly.

"You'll see."

You stared up at your boyfriend with suspicious eyes until he ushered you to look at the TV screen. What you saw almost made your eyes pop out of your head.

The menu for the first Insidious movie displayed itself on the screen. Sitting up abruptly, you turned to your boyfriend to watch him let out a loud laugh.

"Babe, everything's going to be fine. It's just a movie." Draco laughed lovingly at you.

"That's easy for you to say - you don't scare easily!" you retaliated, hoping he'd change his mind somehow.

Draco chuckled as he pulled you into his side and wrapped two strong arms around your body.

"Sshh. You'll be fine, I promise." he whispered to you while kissing your hair.

You squirmed under his grip as he pressed play on the film.

It wasn't so bad at first, a few unnerving scenes here and there but nonetheless wasn't as scary as you had anticipated it to be.

However, as the movie became more intense, you started to become terrified. The moment the red-faced demon was shown in the movie, you jumped in Draco's arms and buried your face in his chest - to which he only pulled you closer and kissed you protectively. Throughout your screams and slight squeals, he would grip your body tightly and press you to his chest while sweetly kissing parts of your face and neck.

Towards the end of the movie, you looked up at your boyfriend to notice that he was looking down at you with a gentle smile on his face.

You squinted at him playfully. "What are you smiling about?"

Draco merely laughed a little to himself and kissed your forehead fondly.

"You do know the only reason why I picked this movie was so that I could hold you like this, right?"

You sat up a bit straighter in his arms. "Wait, really?"

Draco blushed and allowed his shy side to come creeping forward. "Yea...I like holding you like this. I like protecting you."

Suddenly you had become shy too. "Why?"

Draco swallowed thickly as he looked down at you amid the screams in the background.

"I just...I guess it makes me feel good knowing that you feel safe when you're around me. I love the fact that when you get scared, the first place you run to is my arms. It's comforting and quite frankly, it makes me feel good."

You smiled up at him until you heard another particularly loud screaming, causing you to almost leap out of Draco's arms.

"Woah there!" he chuckled, gripping your waist tightly so you wouldn't fly away from him.

"Hey, look at me." he murmured, taking your chin in one hand and turning it so that it faced him, "You're safe here, okay? I promise, nothing will hurt you."

You gulped and nodded, suddenly melting into his embrace and allowing yourself to be captivated by him. He laid down on the couch, pulling you on top of him and quickly wrapping his arms around your back. Your cheeks were flushed a bright pink as soon as you found yourself on top of him and you blushed even deeper when he tilted his head up and placed a soft kiss on your lips.

As the movie credits began to roll, Draco kept you in his tight embrace as he continued to kiss you. Both of you were completely oblivious to the fact that the movie was now over - you two were too busy blissfully making out with each other.
