Perrie's Diary

Monday, 6th September 2010

hi. It's the first day of school and I decided that this year I'm going to start writing in this diary. I'm not sure how long this will last or how interesting it'll be but it's worth a shot, eh?

So.. diaries are where people write secrets and dumb shit like that, right?

well, i have a pretty big secret.. the only person who knows is Ellie- my favourite cousin AND best friend. I told her about a year ago and nothing has ever changed.

I'm just going to say it now.

I'm lesbian. I'm into girls, and I've really never liked guys..

whew, what a weight off my shoulders.

You see, my family are super religious and it's really annoying. I'm worried none of them will accept me. My mam still goes on and on about my future husband even after I've ClEaRlY shown NO interest in boys. ever.

Every Sunday I'm forced to go to church for an hour long service then, even though I'm literally 17 years old, my mam still makes Jonnie- my big brother-, Caitlin- my little sister- and I go to fucking Sunday school.

I've never liked church. Or Sunday school. There's SO much stuff I'd rather spend my time doing, like practising piano or singing... or kissing hot girls...

Anyways, back to the point. I hate church. I hate reading the bible every night and being taught that homosexuality is a sin. I hate living in this stupid huge house surrounded by little kids (my youngest cousin, Keira, is 3 years old, and VERY loud.) And I HATE being home schooled.. don't even get me started on ThAt...

also, i am SO sorry if any of the Christianity stuff offended anyone! I myself am not religious so please let me know if you were offended and want me to change it.

but please note that this is written in a 17 year-old lesbian's perspective so the views are supposed to be on the mad side of things.
