Meant to be

Great..just great!

I woke up to my very loud alarm clock, reading 6:00 am. Today is the first day of grade 12, and I'm not excited at all. School hasn't really been my thing but high grades have been the most important thing in this family. Since grade 5, I have been getting straight A's and only around 3 B's throughout those years.

I stare at the ceiling planning how my day is going to go until I look at my alarm clock. "6:20" I quickly rush to my closet and pick out a white crop top and black leggings to go with my white converse. I tie my hair up into a half ponytail, then head downstairs to eat my breakfast. On the table, my mom has set some scrambled eggs with bacon.

Mom: Ah! My baby's growing up eh? 1st day of grade 12! You excited at all? She asked curiously.

Me: Nope! Not at all! You know school hasn't really been my thing mom.

Mom: I know, I know but you gotta make new friends hon.

Me: yep! Okay. I say sarcastically.

I quickly head upstairs to do my facial care and some makeup. I'm kind of going for a casual look so I quickly decide just to do some concealer, eyebrows, eyelashes, and to top that off I put some pink shiny lipgloss. I head downstairs and grab my backpack which has been ready since yesterday. I then hop in my car as my mom drives me to school.
