After Blaine and I finish stargazing, we sit in the peaceful quiet of his car, listening to the crickets chirp until Blaine interrupts the silence.

"Dinner with you was really nice today," he says, lowering the volume of the radio.

"It was," I agree, wholeheartedly. "Although, I think that our waitress tonight was totally into you."

"You should've shown her your diamond ring."

"She would've had a heart attack!"

We both burst out into loud laughter, surprisingly enjoying each other's company as we have been all night. Today's events happened to be a lot more fun than I'd imagined. It's past one o'clock in the morning, but I can't bring myself to care as much as I did before. I don't want to go inside the house just yet.

What Blaine had said tonight, even if it wasn't fully intentional, really struck me: I need to practice being happy more often. And not for the happiness or wishes of other people. My happiness. Not for the sake of Vanessa, and not for the sake of my parents. So, this is me trying to be happier.

After finishing twenty questions, Blaine and I got to know each other pretty well by talking about our families and childhoods. It was settling to talk to someone other than my sister or Melissa, my nanny, for a change. Although these people are like family, I don't think I've ever told anybody besides them about my life.

Blaine listened carefully to my stories about Vanessa, and I reciprocated it when he wanted to talk about his own memories and growing pains. It's different when you talk to someone about your life who is on the outside of it - it feels... good.

And as it turns out, Blaine and I get along well with each other. We both love music, and peaceful silence. We like to travel, and we love France .I can see us becoming good friends. Hopefully.

"Well," Blaine sighs, his hands resting on the driver's wheel. "I better get you to bed."

"Mmhm," I hum in reply, but neither of us actually move, partly in fear that, when we go back inside the house, this spell between us will break and there will be distance between us once again.

For about five to ten minutes, we just sit there in the car radio sounds before Blaine gathers up the the courage to finally pull into the driveway and turn off the engine.

"Goodnight, princesse." He says.

"Night, mon beau."

Blaine opens up the car door for me, and I get out - both of us making our way to the grande entrance of the Baron house.

And as we go our separate ways, walking up the grand staircase to our own rooms, I realize that I don't feel so anxious anymore.

"Miss Gordana, what dress are you going to wear?"

"Is it true that you are in love?"

"What flavor will the cake be?"
