To put on a mask,
to hide my heart,
This simple facade
is tearing me apart.
A fake smile,
A little wave.
But, is this really
all that I can say?
This simple facade
is falling apart.
All because of these feelings
that lie inside my heart.
I daydream of a tomorrow
that could never be.
I sleep in this night
with my heart locked and no key.
This simple facade
is falling apart.
Because you know me too well,
and have become too smart.
I'll close myself away
and keep you distant.
Because this happy girl you fell in love with
is nonexistent.
It's safer this way
for you and I.
Because you are the one person
whom I never want to see cry.
