How can I just walk away from you, when we're forever chained?

You're the only one that can never leave me alone.

I wish you'd walk away from me, and I could watch you leave.

'Cause we've shared the numbness and the pain, and even shared the tears.

And you're the only one that makes me feel it all.

So take a look at me now, I've tried so hard to not believe,

but you're always here to remind me,

of the future you're going to take.

So take a look at me now,

so far from where I've been,

and you coming back to me is just another wave, a tearful satliness I taste.

I wish I could run away from you,

but that part of me has died.

I'm left treading on terrain, that never solidifies.

You're the only one who can truly take it all.

So take a look at me now, I'm left with just a trace,

and there's everything here to remind me, that I'll never be the same.

So take a look at me now, 'cause it's just an empty dream.

I wait for you, it's all I can do, and stand by as I break.
