Opposites Attract (Yoh X Anna)

New Year, New Trouble

"Wow.... Up till now, the snow still amazes me... It's even shining!" Yoh says, looking around.
"That's just the reflection of the light on it.... You know, maybe I shouldn't come out... Something bad always happens..." Anna replies, looking down.
"Hmmm.... Hehe. Don't worry about it," her companion says, grinning.
"What do you mean, 'Don't worry'?!" she yells.
"Well, the reason you came out is because you really want to right?" Yoh says, looking at her, still grinning.
"Uh... " she looks away.
"Everything will work out. It always has a way of working out in the end. Trust me," Yoh declares before looking forward again then suddenly holds her hand causing her to be surprised but she holds his hand as well as they walk.
"They're already out," Kino says, watching from the window of the house.
"Yoh.... Is good...." Matamune says, clearly dumbfounded.
"Could it be that she's finally.... No. It can't be. It's still not safe for her to go... All the desires and worries at the temple...." the Asakura elder mutters.
"Well then, I guess I better follow them then," Matamune says as he walks to the door.
"Are you serious?! If those worries and desires add up to 1080 or more, it'll be an Oo-oni. You'll vanish from existence," Kino frowns at the cat spirit.
"Well, if that be the case, so be it then. This is what I have chosen to do. Everything will work out. A fine saying by a boy who hasn't been taught otherwise. She suffers something similar to what he suffered. I will not let this chance slip away this time... Goodbye Kino," the neko-mata replies before walking out leaving Kino to herself.

Moments later...

"Anna! What's wrong?" Yoh frantically asks, kneeling down beside Anna, who is currently holding her head and screaming, and holding her close to him.
"I'm afraid I'm a bit too late," a familiar voice replies.
"Matamune! Can you explain? Immediately we got into the temple, Anna started suffering...." the boy demands, looking a bit scared for Anna.
"All the worries and desires of everyone praying in the temple are seeping into her mind..." Matamune explains just as onis start appearing and coming together to form a bigger one.
Yoh glares at it while Anna just stares at it weakly. After it forms, more onis still come so it starts eating them.
"Wha-?! Aw man... It's eating the others and getting bigger!" Yoh yells.
"Yes. Just as I suspected..." Matamune thinks as he sees it form into a more evolved version of itself. "It is different from the rest and feeds off on the worries and desires. 1080 to be exact... This really is an Oo-oni..."
"Man.... So big..." Yoh looks at it in surprise.
"This... Is also my first time seeing one this big....." Anna weakly says, looking at it as well.
The Oo-oni then looks at Matamune and smirks then suddenly pushes him back with his finger causing the cat spirit to fly back.
"Wha-! It attacked?! No... Even I saw knew he would. It was just too fast to avoid..." Matamune thinks then immediately he sees the monster's gigantic fist coming at him. "Hm..."
He gets punched and sent flying into a tree and covered by snow.
"Matamune!! No!!" Yoh screams in horror. The monster then turns to him.
"Anna. Can't you make it disappear like you did before at the shop?"
"I've tried but I can't do it. That time I only wanted to save you and this time I wish for the same thing... We're doomed... " Anna replies.
"Rrgh... No! There's always a way to everything! We can't give up! Wait... This thing is made from your negative emotions right?" Yoh says and Anna nods.
"Then maybe thinking happy thoughts would stop it! If we get you to think about the things that make you happy, it could counter the negative ones!" Yoh suggests.
"Happy thoughts?....." Anna thinks for a while then looks at Yoh. "I... Have none..."
Yoh blanks out in surprise for a bit then snaps back to reality.
"Well, we have to think of something or Matamune would have-"
"You called?" Matamune says, pooping his head from the snow.
"Matamune! You're okay!!" Yoh yells, completely surprised.
"Just as I thought, this is definitely an Oo-oni. I slightly underestimated it. My mistake," Matamune replies, dusting his yukata.
"So can you defeat this thing?" the young boy asks, still holding Anna.
In response, the nekomata forms a spirit sword, called the 'Oni Killer' and charges straight towards it. The Oo-oni tries to hit him but he quickly evades it and slashes at its arm and cuts it off. Immediately, the demon spirit roars in pain and swats Matamune away before holding its severed arm.
"Matamune!!!"  the shaman shouts as he watches his guardian get sent flying once again. Suddenly, the Oo-oni turns to the pair and kicks Yoh away before grabbing Anna in its ginormous hand. Yoh lands on the snowy ground with a loud crash and lays motionless on the ground, slowly slipping losing consciousness.
"Anna...." he mutters then completely slips into darkness.
"Yoh....!" Anna weakly shouts before being brought face to face with her captor. "What do you want with me...?"          "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to you. After all, it'll be disrespectful to let anything happen to my mom," it replies, looking at her.                           "Mom...?"                                                                        "You should know. After all.... You made me. I'm born from all your hatred and negative thoughts. I am the embodiment of your dark self," it says, chuckling. "What a dirty person you are to create one as big as I am..."                                                                                  "No...." Anna mutters before slipping into unconsciousness.
