Forgotten Past

                  

Mina's POV

I can't believe she's here! I haven't seen Taeyeon in over 8 years when she left Japan to be a psychiatrist here for better pay. She was my mother figure since I never had one really.

"Hey Mina sweetie, how have you been?" Tae asks and I just sit there staring at her in shock. I slowly sit up and start to rub my left eye. Jihyo took my hand and I whined.

"Your gonna make it worse." She told me and I just pouted before getting off of her lap and waddling to Taeyeon. She looked up at me and smiled, already moving her arms as she knew what I was gonna do.

I fall into her arms, burying my face in her neck. "Eomma." I mumbled against her neck, tearing up. She wasn't really my mother but she's the only person I ever felt that I could give such a title.

Tae chuckled slightly and started to stroke my hair. "I'm right here." She whispered in my ear. I finally pull back and see her looking at me. She brings her hand up and wipes my tears.

"We can't have you crying now can we?" She asks softly and I shake my head. She laughs a little before looking over at Jihyo who was looking at us, confusion was written all over her face.

"How do you know each other and Eomma?" Sana asked, causing me to jump. I forgot she was there..... Oops-

Taeyeon smiled at me before looking at Sana and Jihyo. "Do you know about Mina's family?" Taeyeon asked them as she rubbed my hip. I laid my head on her shoulder, relaxing by her action.

"We only know bits and pieces." Jihyo explained and Taeyeon looked over at me. "You think I could tell them?" She asks me while still rubbing my hip. I think about the pros and cons before nodding slowly.

Taeyeon smiled as she moved some hair out of my face. "I'm proud of you." She whispered and I shivered a little, closing my eyes.

"Mina's family isn't really her family as I'm sure that's what she was willing to tell you, but I'm sure she didn't tell you what got her in that position. Her father and mother died in a car accident. The thing was that Mina was also in the car when it happened. Don't you wonder why she always waddled?" Taeyeon asked.

I was facing them so I saw Sana and Jihyo nod a little. "She waddles because of the car accident. She can't walk normally." Taeyeon explains and continues to rub my hip. "Her mother was in the back of the car with her so she made sure Mina didn't get hurt when the truck hit them." Taeyeon continued.

"Her father died in the hospital a couple days after. At that time, I was one of the psychiatrists at the hospital at the time. I worked with children so I took care of Mina." Taeyeon explained while stroking my hair.

Momo still believed that my mother was actually my mother because that's what she was told but it was a lie. I didn't want to lie but it was the only thing that I could really do.

"I was with Tiffany already at this time. Mina wouldn't talk so I bought Tiffany to see if she could help me with her. At this point in time, I never saw her walk because she still couldn't." Taeyeon said with a small smile.

"We walked in the room to see Mina waddling around the room. The doctor told us beforehand that she could start walking again so we weren't that surprised but I still remember the squeal Tiffany let out." Taeyeon said, chuckling.

"Mina was surprised from the sudden noise that she jumped. She almost fell but I caught her in time." Taeyeon explained and Jihyo was listening intently, as well as Sana.

"That's how most of it happened. That's also why she jumps so much. The truck came out of nowhere and all Mina heard was a very loud crash. She can't help but get scared." Taeyeon told Jihyo and Sana and they just nodded a little.

I rub my left eye and Jihyo gives me a stern look. I whimpered and stopped with much difficulty. Taeyeon chuckled and kissed my forehead.

"I know it gets annoying but rubbing her left eye is Mina's habit. I tried to make her break it when she was younger but she never did." Taeyeon looks at me and continues to smile.

"Wait, if you two know each other from Japan, how did she not know you were here?" Jeong asked and I was surprised. I forgot she was here too..... where the hell are these people coming from!?

"I had to leave suddenly so all I could tell Mina was that I got a job to be a psychiatrist here." Taeyeon explained and Jeong just hummed softly.

"It's worse Taeyeon." Momo said as she suddenly popped up, causing me to jump again but Tae made sure I didn't fall. Seriously?! Where the hell do they come from!?! Is this house a maze of its own with jump scares around every corner?!

"What do you mean?" Tae asked Momo, looking over at her. "I can't tell you because I haven't really seen it but they are getting physical." Momo explained and Tae looked at me, concern showing through her facial expression.

"Mina I need you to show me what she means." Tae says softly and I whimper, hugging my stomach slightly. She caresses my cheek and I close my eyes. Her touch was different from Jihyo's but it was still comforting.

She makes me sit on the couch and I hug my knees. "You want them to stop don't you?" Taeyeon asked me as I grip onto Jihyo's shirt. I couldn't really lie well so I just nodded my head.

"Don't lie. You know you deserve it."

"Yea. Just tell her truthfully. You don't want them to stop because they give you what you deserve."

"Mina" I hear a muffled voice say. I couldn't hear clearly. "Mina!" Someone yelled but I didn't respond.
