considering she lived only a few blocks away, hyeri arrived in less than five minutes. knocking on his door lightly, she looked around, awkwardly waiting for the door to open.
not long after, it opened, revealing a tired looking jiwon. his hair was a mess, his eye bags seemed to weigh a ton. without a warning, he pulled her into a tight hug, sniffling.
"w-were you crying?" hyeri asked, shocked at the sight of her best friend in his current state. "can we just stay like this for a while?" and they did, hyeri rubbing circles on his back, trying to make him feel better.
after about two minutes, he finally let go and they both walked into his house. he plopped down the couch while hyeri awkwardly sat down after.
"mind telling me what's going on now?"
hyeri asked him. "go get some ice cream first. it's a long story."
