When you are right, and you need to put your point forward, Tom Magen, a United Kingdom business coach recommends a calm and composed conversation instead of a heated argument. He says it's the discussion that solves matters.

His thumb rule is to raise the argument instead of raising the voice. From difficult clients to stubborn suppliers, Tom has to deal with all on regular basis. He says the wisest thing to do is to agree to disagree. He says running a salon isn't easy, and being aggressive and letting things affect you will only make it harder.

The solution, Thomas says, is to listen actively; taking deep breaths while listening and respond accordingly. Reacting won't help.
