I crashed into you.
brutally, blindfolded and deaf.
because a single glance from you told me you were trouble. a warning. you were the high school boy everyone had a crush on, the boy everyone liked from far away but never got the chance to get close to, because you had walls made of stone built around you.
then why were you so amiable and thoughtful to me? why did you cross the road with me whilst holding my hand? why did you buy me flowers? why did you perform acts of kindness towards me?
I decided to ignore your flirty looks, your faulty boy attitude with your motorbike and leather jacket- I chose to ignore so many signs.
because your goodness overcame the things I was overthinking about. you distracted me.
but the one sign I should've never ignored was obvious and I feel so stupid for being so blind.
