I got dressed into a pair of dark high waisted jeans and a long sleeved black t-shirt. I then put on the small rose necklace Billy had left me. It fell perfectly onto my chest. The cross was slightly higher than the rose and they looked elegant together. I looked at them and smiled. I brushed out my hair and let it curl up the way it did naturally. I added mascara and eyeliner. I looked around my room for my boots. I found them under my bed. I took my snow boots into the living room and left them by the door. I sat on the couch and turn on the tv to see the broadcasted parades. There was a knock at my door. I jumped up and tore open the door ready to pounce on Billy. I was shocked when the person behind the door held a little box covered in silver paper topped with a bow.
"Steve? What are you doing here?" I said surprised.
"Merry Christmas Dani. I came to give you a gift." He said happily. I smiled sadly. I rubbed my neck.
"Oh Steve you didn't have to. I feel bad I didn't get you anything." I said. He smiled and shrugged.
"That's fine, you were so kind last night and I have been a horrible friend lately." He said handing me the box. I shamefully took it. I slowly unwrapped the box. Inside was a little painting of  Christmas tree. I smiled at it.
"Aw Thank you Steve, this is very sweet." I said and he smiled. I hugged he kissed my cheek and I didn't smile I just hugged him. I felt so bad I knew this was wrong. I pushed myself away and heard the roar of a very familiar Camaro coming from blocks away. I got super excited. I squealed right there and Steve just looked at my with confusion. I dashed inside and put the painting on the table. I grabbed my new jacket and my keys. Steve stood outside still as I came out in my snow boots and jacket locking the door.
"Thank you so much for the present Steve I really love it."I said turning to him. He smiled.
"I'm glad. I remember you told me your mom loved Christmas trees. And they did have any real ones at the tree market." Steve chuckled. I giggled. I then realized Billy was going to come to my house and find Steve Harrington, his mortal enemy, on my doorstep potentially kissing me. I knew I didn't want to hurt either one of them. I had to get Steve out of here.
"Uh Stevie I kinda have plans in a little." I slowly said rubbing my cheek. He looked slightly sad.
"Well I guess it selfish of me to want to keep you all the time." He chuckled. I nervously giggled.
"I'll talk to you later. Bye Dani." Steve said kissing my cheek.
My cheeks got hot. He started to walk away. I took a deep breath. That was a close one. As Steve disappeared around the corner I heard the Camaro roar again. I felt butterflies. He turned onto my street quickly. I turned to my door and checked to make sure I looked good in my reflection. When I heard the car come closer I turned around smiling. Billy parked in front of my house. I slowly walked towards his car. He got out of it and met me in the middle of my walk way. He was smiling his beautiful smile that not many people saw. We met in the middle of the walkway.
"Hi.." I said slowly looking up to him happily.
"Hey." He smirked. I grabbed his collar and pulled his lips to mine. I kissed him hungrily and I felt him smiling into it. He pulled away.
"I missed you too." He chuckled. He took my arm and pulled me into a deep hug. I hugged back.
"I was lonely yesterday. I wanted to come steal you away." He said into my hair. He realized me and way got into his car.
"Do you like the jacket?" He asked smiling.
"It's so great. Warm and cozy. And of course it smells like you." I winked hugging myself. He winked at me and took my hand while driving.
We drove and listen to music. We drove outside of Hawkins. He finally stopped when we got to an unfamiliar patch of woods. He pulled the car on the side of the road. I looked around then to him.
"Okay now I'm sure your planning my murder." I teased. He rolled his eyes and told me to just wait.
He drove the car into an opening in the wood. He drove slowly and told me to cover my eyes. I did as I was told until I felt the car stop.
"Ready?" He said I could hear his smile. I nodded.
"Open." He said happily. I uncovered my eyes to see a small frozen pond and bare snow covered trees with lights on their branches. It looked so pretty.
"Oh my god! Did you do this?" I asked. He nodded. I leaned over and pecked his lips.
"It's beautiful thank you Billy." I smiled. He grabbed two blankets from the back of his car. We then got out and he covered the front of his car with one.
"Uh are we sitting on your car?" I said shocked. He rolled his eyes and nodded. I sat on the car and he followed covering us with the second blanket. I snuggled up to him. He put an arm around me.
"I love the gifts you gave me. It was so sweet." I said smiling.
"Are you wearing the necklace?" Billy asked sitting up. I turned to him and unbuttoned my jacket a bit. I showed him the necklace and he point to my collarbone.
"What's that? Thats new." He said motioning to my new freckle. I shrugged and said I didn't know.
"That necklace looks so beautiful on you, just as I thought it would." He smirked and bit his lip. I smiled and blushed.
"It was my moms." Billy said looking down. I stopped. My eyes grew larger.
"Your m-Mom's? Wait are you sure you want me to have it?" I asked quickly. He took my hands.
"Want you to have it because I love you. When my mom died she told me she loved me and gave me her necklace. She said give this to the person who makes you happy and you want to keep for the rest of your life. And that's you Dani. I love you and you make me so happy. I can't imagine living without. Your everything I could ever want in life. Your everything I need." He said holding my face.
"Billy.. I- I-" I stuttered before he cut me off.
"Dani don't worry I don't expect you to say it back-" I stopped him.
"Billy I love you too." I said putting my hand on his face. His eyes lit up and he smiled.
"You-you do?" He happily chuckled.
I nodded. He looked at me for a second then he kissed me. It wasn't our normal kiss thus one was full of love and was more passionate then hungry. He kissed me and got off the car. He stood between my legs. He lifted me off the car and we got into the car. Once we closed the doors we started kissing again. I threw myself from sitting in the passenger seat to sitting on Billy's lap in the drivers seat. He slowly reclined his seat and I giggled. I took off my jacket and threw it to the passenger seat.
"Merry Christmas to me." He mumbled as I took off my shirt and attached his mouth to my neck.
