I'm due to go into hospital tomorrow to start all the treatment to get rid of this cancer.

Thanks to Courtney these last few days have been the best of my life.

We wrote a bucket list and I'm engaged

I just can't believe that last part.

I'm fucking engaged to Courtney

And I'm dying

Well so is she

Isn't everyone?

My mum was already at the hospital sorting a load of stuff out and I had to go to school for the first half because my mum knows that I am now going to be missing quite a bit of it due to treatment.

So Courtney was driving me in after lunch but as I knocked on her door to take us to school she opened the door straight away and dragged me into her house.

She lives alone because both her parents work in the secret service and can't really live with her so they just pay for the house under an alias

"What are you doing?" I ask as she drags me into her lounge where the floor is covered in DVDs, my bucket list and, now that she has snatched them off me, the car keys

"We aren't going to school, I've already called in telling them that your thing at the hospital has been pulled forward and that I am going in for support as your fiancé" she giggled at her craftiness

"What's first on the agenda then?"

I grab her hands and fall backwards so I land on her sofa with her on top of me

"You pussy! You seriously just screeched because we fell that short distance?" I laugh at her

"Hey! You're like nine foot tall someone had to alert people that you were going down" she crawled up so her lips were by my left ear "I considered yelling timber"

I laugh and shove her, forgetting she was at the edge of the sofa and she gripped my shirt for dear life

I wrap my arms around her quickly and bring her closer to me, well away from the edge

She kisses me as a thank you

Neither of us pull away

I lift her chin up and deepen the kiss by parting her lips with my tongue

I don't know how much time went by but now both of us are only in our underwear.

I pause to speak in between hungry kisses "You. Okay. With this?"

She sighs and pulls her head back "would I be sitting here almost naked if I wasn't?"

"I was trying to be all thoughtful and romantic" I mumbled against her neck

"Just be you for god sakes because I wouldn't have you any other way"

We lay on the sofa watching the end of the film together

Apparently it's a legendary one that 'I just had to watch'

It's hilarious, but I'm a but bored of films now even though this is only our second

The credits started to roll and Courtney rolled off the sofa into the ground then crawled to the DVD player, ejecting out the disk.

She yawned "what should we watch next?"

"I'm kinda bored of films what else should we do?"

"Thank god I was so bored during that last one" she giggled "what time is it?"

I turn my head and slide down the sofa a bit seeing the clock in the kitchen

"12:30"

"What time do you need to be at the hospital?"

I sighed "one"

She stuck out her bottom lip, pouting

"At least we have time for the last thing I wanted to do"

"But we need to leave now to make it to the hosp-"

"Trust me" she cut me off and grabbed my hand pulling me off the sofa

I land on the floor with a thud

I groan

"Shh the neighbours will think we're at it again" she bit her tongue

I moaned really loud

She knelt down on the floor with me and put her hands over my mouth "shhhhh!"

"Ugh Courtney" I moaned then burst out laughing

She picked up a pillow from the sofa and whacked it round my head

"You're so loud!" She whispered

"Coming from you? It's always the quiet ones that are loud in bed - well we didn't even make it to the bed"

She laughed and hit my chest

"Come on or we are going to be late" she stood up taking me with her

I followed her to the car and got in the passenger side

She was already sitting in the drivers side scrolling through her phone

Once she found the song she put it in the music instantly filling our ears

It was the car song

It was our car song

I turned to see her already looking at me

"You ready rock star?" She asked me

I nodded as she started the engine and I began to sing, her joining in at the correct times.

Our car song was on repeat for the entire journey but it didn't get old, it didn't get boring because we both knew that it was one of our songs and that it would most probably be my last ever car journey

And I couldn't have asked for a better one
