Chapter One Part Investigation

       My friend laid there. Dead. Not breathing. Gone. Forever. I collapsed, thinking about Kaede's last words.  Find the killer. I love you.  Those words. The last she ever spoke.

    "Hey, photo kid, start working. She won't come back to life. She is just another life you only knew for a day or two." Kaito lightly kicked me. What does he mean by just a life? He walked over to the body, checking her saliva. Gross.

         "H-hey, Kaito..." I asked. Kaito whipped his head in my direction in a flash. "Well... Have you done this before?" I was ready to get yelled at by the nurse or yakuza.

 "I worked with dead bodies before. Mostly ones I killed or targets of mine." He said flatly. He kept working. The hell? 

     "What?" I stood up.

"Yes, pea brain?" He didn't even bother to look at me.

      "Why the hell do you think murder is fine? Can you even feel human emotion?" I yelled, clenching my fist. This guy ticks me off.

 "I feel emotion all the the time Kiibo. Just I'm focusing right. If you aren't going to help, buzz off." He flicked his left gloved hand to the exit. He dodged my question. Strange... I eventually started to help. Blood was all over her neck. Her body sat on a blue lawn chair with a huge umbrella above. There was no weapon and the method of murder was probably through breakfast.

       "Angie. What part did each person cook? I know I just sliced the strawberries." 

   "Me and Atua wasn't paying attention. Sorry Kiibo." Angie mouth curved into a frown. 

"It's fine. But we should split up into groups. Three of us should check the kitchen for poisons." I offered.

   "I can go! Also Himiko!" Angie raised her hand into the sky.

        "Nyeh? I guess... Tsumugi can come to I guess..." Mumbled Himiko. Shirogane ran over to the duo. They went off to the kitchen.

     "Me, Miu and Gonta can check the dorms." Smiled Saihara. "But we need all of your guys keys. So please give your keys to us please. Sorry if that was rude." I handed my key to Gonta.

    "Gonta will find Himiko, Tsumugi and Angie. I shall ask politely for they're keys." Gonta smiled. We all nodded and the group went downstairs.

 "Me, Maki and Keebo will stay here." Kaito commanded. "Amami, Ouma and Kirumi will check the beach and the venue for weapons and other things." 

     "Alrighty Kaito!" Smiled Amami. How is Amami not scared by him? His face was soft and gentle, like a sleeping kitty. The new group took the stairs to the beach.

   "Now what should I so?" Asked Kiyo, titling his head. 

  "Maybe we can check the barn." Offered Hoshi.

        "Alright so me, Hoshi and Tenko to the barn. Got it!" He gave us a soft look. His surgeon mask masked his smile. So the shuffled down the stairs.

 "Nice idea Keebo. Now I can work in quiet." Smirked Kaito, making eye contact with me. I saw true joy in his purple eyes. They look quite fragile when in the sun and happy.

    "Thanks." I said. He dropped the face and returned to working.

After a hour a noise swept through the area.

    "All students! Report to the dining hall for a trial. Anyone who tries to rebel, I'll kill! Make the correct choice!" Monokuma giggled. Me and my class gathered in the dining hall for the trial. The fridge slid to side, revealing a stairwell to the trial. 15 high schoolers walked down the stairwell in silence. All of our lives are on the line because one person thought they were better than all our lives commended. One greedy person wanted us all to die for their own gain. I'll not let them win! Me and the other 13 will take down the one who betrayed our class.
