Heaven or earth?

I wake up lying on an oak tree.
Looking up to the sky as I speak what I see.
"The sun is setting and the sky is turning into a dark hue."
I said as I walked to a nearby river and realised my head was no longer blue.
"Could this all be a dream? Is this what heaven looks like?"
I thought as I walked around pretending I was riding a bike.
I looked above as I saw a figure swoop down.
As it landed I slowly began to frown.
The figure came down in the image of a dove.
If I had reacted quicker I could've shoved.
It said "Choose wisely between heaven and earth.
The place of paradise or your place of birth?
The crimson flames of hell or the calmness of heaven?
If you can't decide now then I'll give you seven."
I looked at the dove curiously and pondered over my choices.
"What do you mean by you will give me seven?" I asked the bird with a million verses.
"Seven days to decide on which side you will call your home. It's either that or you'll end up haunting that woman who looks like a garden gnome".
I giggled at the dove's rhyming and agreed that I'll tell him on the seventh day.

It has been seven days and the dove still hasn't returned. The place that I'm waiting at is starting to burn.
I was consumed by the fire and buried in it's flames. Now only my broken heart remains.
