"Oh man, Beth!" Shermy laughed. "What do you think we should do with this sword? HYA!" He swung the object recklessly.
"I think we should learn how to use it first, Shermy, before we heartlessly destroy stuff." Beth considered. Shermy pouted. "Says you." He leaped down a few branches and held the shiny Finn Sword in his grip. "Haha, think of all the things we could do with this, Beth! We could slay beasts, like Phil and Jake!" He then again flung the sword around before hearing a shriek from the sword. "Huh?" Shermy took the sword and saw a miniature Finn inside. "Hey, Beth! It's Phil!" He laughed as Beth walked over.
"Wh-who are you?" The miniature Finn asked shakily. "I'm Beth, and this is Shermy." Beth introduced. Shermy waved. The Finn rubbed his eyes and looked back at Beth. "You look an awful lot like Jake..." He squinted. "Like from the King's story!" Shermy grinned goofily. Finn looked down at himself. "Huh. I thought being grass was hard enough. Now I'm back here, trapped in this sword." Finn told himself sadly, making fists. "You're that grass guy from the King's story?" Beth asked the sword. "Uh... My name was Fern?" He asked, interested. "Yeah, Beth! Let's go see the King! This will be a biiiiiiig surprise one of the Gum War folks survived all these years!"
"Erm, I technically did die... But ok?" Finn shrugged. "Don't worry, Phil." Beth comforted. "The King is a nice guy!" Finn sighed. "Okay."
After a few minutes of story reciting and climbing (well, for Beth), the trio made it to the top.
"And just like that, I held the Lich down! Haha, that was a good time... For a while." Fern laughed. Beth followed along, smiling. "That sounds fun."
Shermy knocked on the door once more as BMO rubbed his/her tired eyes (somehow, they're a console).
"Hello there, friends!" BMO smiled, then realizing it was just the cat and pup(?) that visited earlier in the day. "We're back!" Shermy quickly took Fern from Beth. "And we have--"-he copied a trumpet noise-"-- GRASS PHIL!" BMO gasped as Fern did, too. "B-BMO?" Fern quickly stated. "F-f... Phil?" BMO muttered.
"It's actually Fi--" "I MISSED YOU!!!" BMO cried, hugging the sword. "Even though we barely hung out together, I still missed your company!" Finn smiled, trying to hug back, despite being stuck in a sword.
"This is cute, Shermy." Beth added as the cat climbed up to her shoulder. "Do you think I'll ever get a grass doppelgänger?" He turned towards Beth. "Maybe! If you do what Phil did!"!
Finn sighed, looking around. "I don't know what's worse. The fact that I'm stuck in a gosh-darn sword, or being a grassy boi that can't eat." He sat down. "If I had a grass octopus spider that didn't try murdering everything in sight, I'd like it better."
"It's ok, Grass Phil. I know you hate it." Beth then got interested. "I could see if there's something in my book about resurrection..." Finn tried looking her way, but he was facing BMO. "I don't know if that would..." Fern trailed off. [NOTE: I know I'm alternating between Finn and Fern, that's because Sword Finn was both of them, so it's to show that.] "Isn't there a super ultra convenient Wish Staff thingy near your tree?" Beth asked suddenly. Fern looked shocked. "I... I remember that from the 5% of Finn's memories I remember." Shermy made a fist. "Awwwww yeahhh!!" BMO smiled, walking out and shutting the door to the mountain... cabin... Whatever! "I will go, too!" S/he grinned. Finn was picked up by Beth as she looked down to Shermy.
"Do you know where it is, Beth?" Shermy asked. "No, but I can try to look for it in the book at our house..." She commented. "I can't believe I'll actually be out of this gosh darn sword again! It'll be flippin' fantastic!" Fern celebrated. "What will you wish to be, Phil?" Shermy asked the small being.
"Probably a version of myself, but can eat and all that biz." Fern shrugged. "Also, my names are Finn, Finn Sword, Mini Finn, Grass Finn, Fern, or whatever, you can use whichever one you want."
"Ready, Shermy?" Beth held out her paw to the small feline. "Heck yeah!" He replied, fist bumping her. "Let's go fix Fern!"
"YOU SAID MY NAME RIGHT!" Finn yelled, somehow looking more eccentric than being able to be a grass boy again and not be controlled by the Emissary from Beyond. In a way.
