Chapter Three: the fuck happened

Neils POV

I was at home, looking out the window, puzzled because I wondered what would go down at school today. Yesterday, someone found a gun inside a desk. I honestly think it was Max. They later on found a box of matches in the same desk. That for sure was Max because I saw a box that he was hiding in his pocket. The school was shut down for the rest of the week. It was only Monday soo.. That's good I guess. I was still looking out the window to see Max and Nikki tackling each other down the street. Speaking of the devil himself. I watched them for a while and couldn't help but laugh a little until Nikki bit Max's arm and Max got out his kNifE sTicK and pointed at Nikki. Shit. I had to go outside in the cold, early on Monday morning, to stop whatever was going on. While walking downstairs, I was surprised at the thought of Max being up so early and on time, knowing he's a night owl and no morning person. I grabbed my sweater and put it on and went outside. "The hell are you two doing?" I shivered "this cannibal fucking bit me" "he pulled a staff with a knife on me" they argued back and fourth. Even though it was still dark out, I could still see their breathe fade away into the air. Guess it was just that cold. "I'm gonna kill you Nikki" "yeah right" "wait wait wait! Why are you two even fighting?" Nikki looked at me then Max with a huge smirk across her face "cmon tell me!" "Yeah Max" Max walked to Nikki and flicked her forehead which made her rub the red spot furiously. And that's how I ended up outside, with snow on the ground, standing and staring at the green-haired wild child, and the green-eyed apathetic asshole himself. the moon was still shining a little, the big, dark, pitch black clouds hiding the sun, and it seemed like Nikki's teeth seemed to glow, only seeing a crazy smile from far away, and Max's sea green eyes glowing, making it look like just two glowing eyes creepily watching you from a distance, and me just being a tall dark figure, making me looking like Slenderman from afar. I would run straight away if I saw a tall dark shadow like figure, just a creepy smile, and creepy green eyes glowing in the dark. Nikki soon had a hand full of snow and managed to somehow shove it down Max's throat "NIKKI THE HELL??" I yelled at her then quickly backed away from Max, seeing him fall to the floor choking on the chunk of snow, he seemed to jab Nikki's arm pretty good, leaving her fall to her knees bleeding and yelping in pain as blood spewed out of her left elbow. I panicked, finding out Nikki hid a rock in the chunk of snow that was now stuck in the middle of teenaged boy's throat, and a nonstop bleeding elbow and cries coming from the female on the road. i later took both of them to the E.R. I was looking around waiting for one of the doctors to come out. One of them came out an hour later saying that both of them were fine and they could now go home. The sun was still blocked by the black clouds, leaving the world dark outside. "I can't fucking believe you two" "well he stabbed me!" "You fucking shoved a rock down my throat nikki!" They started to argue on the walk home, I walked in between them so they wouldn't hurt each other again. "So why were y'all fighting anyway?" "Nikki here got a thing of mud this morning and put it all over my hoodie" Nikki laughed a little and Max was giving her a death stare, I couldn't help but laugh myself. Max punched my arm and sprinted to his house. "We are staying at your house Max" Nikki yelled. We went inside and up the curvy stair case and into his room. He had a big TV and a gaming system hooked up to it. Nikki hugged Max and said sorry then went straight to the Xbox and turned it on, playing Black Ops ll. "I didn't know you played" Nikki said "eh. I play from time to time. Only when I'm really bored though" he got his skinny chair and placed it next to Nikki and grabbed the other controller. I sat on the bed, laughing at Max, seeing him rage from Nikki killing him every round. "Youre not supposed to be killing me!" He said "I know but its funnn" Nikki replied with a huge smile on her face. I fell backwards laying down on his bed. I noticed something was under Max's pillow quietly, looking back every six seconds to make sure he wasn't paying attention, I lifted up the pillow a little and saw his teddy bear he had when we were kids still. I smiled and put the pillow back down, willing to ask him about it later.

Max's POV

I was done raging at Nikki and took a break for a while. I noticed Neil was looking at me, smirking as I got up to go get something to eat. They both tagged along with me. Nikki raded the whole pantry and ate almost three bags of chocolate chips. I rolled my eyes and laughed at the sight of seeing her with chocolate all over her face. "Where's bag number 3???" Nikki asked, hyper. "I think two full bags is enough for you Nikki." I laughed and plopped on the couch with Neil sitting next to me. "So. I found something" I looked up at Neil worried but curious "who's is it and what is it?" I asked and Neil just had a grin on his face. He was holding something behind his back and trying not to laugh, biting his bottom lip to keep his laugh in. "Its yours" he said and I shuddered knowing he found something probably embarrassing in my room. He pulled out two things, and my eyes widened. He laughed as he was holding my stuffed bear and an old picture of everyone at camp from five years ago. Along with the two counselors Gwen and David. I snatched them both, hugging the bear, but Neil snatched the picture back looking and laughing a little. Nikki came around the corner looking at the picture and smiling too. It had all of us when we were ten. In the picture, Nikki was smiling with her hands up in the air, I was crossing my arms looking like I didn't give a shit, and Neil smiled a little looking nervous as usual. Nikki and Neil laughed for a while and took a picture of it and sent it to everyone, waiting for their reaction. Someone ended up creating a group chat with literally everyone in the picture, even the counselors. Someone tittle it Camp Campbell. If I'm being honest, it warmed me up a little bit, seeing everyone talk to each other again. I was smiling down at my phone when someone cropped out every person and made it individually. One of Nerris, the Ered, then Nerf, Harrison, Me, Nikk, and so on. I laughed seeing how neil used to look like and everybody kept saying I looked and acted exactly the same but just grew taller. I honestly didn't care but I did laugh. Neil kissed me just to shut me up from laughing at him. Nikki took pics and sent them to the group chat and everyone just loved on them. It was honestly a good day, considering it was a Monday 💙
