From Night to Day - Revised

            This story is that which I found in an old journal out in a field near my house.  It was caked in mud and the cover torn and worn from years of abuse.  On the inside of the front was the word “Reality”, followed by two paragraphs, similar to that of an introduction.  Puzzled, I sat down and read it:

            A warning to those of you whose minds are not open to the reality of the world behind that veil you call life: do not read on.  Every word in this story is the truth – the whole, painful truth – whether you believe me or not.  I was once like you, oblivious to reality even though I was born a part of it.  For 13 years, I was a pretty much as normal as a human being could get, but in that thirteenth year, my life flipped upside down.  Although, what really shaped me into who I am now happened over the course of less than seven months.

 After that, I just couldn’t put the diary down.  I read every word of it, letting their meaning drip into my veins.  I was shocked.  I was dumbfounded.  I was… enlightened.  The world was never the same again.

            To spread the truth which I read in those pages, I decided to share them with the world.  This entire book is made up of the words on those yellowed sheets.  Read forward, only if you dare to see the light. 

             This is my story, but to protect those I ventured with, I have changed their names and the names of all of the places we went.  Don’t worry, though, those little things won’t hinder the truth.  My name is Raven Mae Sera, the last vampire, but I am not of your world anymore.  Let me explain:
