"We must stop him from regenerating. Who opened that chest?" Evelyn demanded, eyeing up the two Americans. Tiye sat at the small round table in their hotel room next to Daniels, Jonathan next to him. Rick stood by the window while Evelyn and Henderson stood beside the table.
"Well, there was me and Daniels here." Henderson stated. "Oh, and Burns, of course."
"And that Egyptologist feller." Daniels added.
"What about my buddy Beni?" Rick asked, briefly glancing away from the covered sun.
"No, he scrammed outta there 'fore we opened the damn thing." Daniels answered him.
"Yeah, he was the smart one." Henderson chuckled to himself.
"Well, yeah, that sounds like Beni." Rick scoffed sarcastically.
"We must find the Egyptologist and bring him back to the safety of the fort before the creature can get to him." Evelyn spoke up, lightly playing with the shiny red apple in her hands.
"Right. Those two stay here. You three, come with me." Rick nodded his head before pointing at the two women. Everyone protested at Ricks leadership decision, causing a loud rucus.
"I mean, who put you in charge?" Evelyn yelled above the others, stomping over to the man. "O'Connell, what do you think you are doing?"
"I will follow voluntarily." Tiye raised her hands in surrender after watching Rick hoist Evelyn over his shoulder and dump her on the bed. She slipped into the room and sighed as she heard Rick lock the door.
"O'Connell, you are not leaving me in here!" Evy protested running up to the door and slamming her fists against it. She continued to bang at the door as Tiye peacefully sat on the bed, contemplating whether or not she should try and slip in some sleep before all hell got raised. Again.
"Evy, come, let us rest." The Egyptian urged her friend. "We both need rest."
"Fine, but only for a little bit." Evelyn huffed, moving away from the door.
Evelyn slipped into the left side of the bed. Tiye quickly followed the brunette to bed, crawling in the right side. Both quickly falling into a dreamless slumber.
Tiye immediately woke up by Evelyns muffled screams. Opening her eyes she saw Imhotep with his mummified lips on Evys. The doors to the room crashed open with Rick and Jonathan bursting in.
"Hey! Get your ugly face off of her!" Rick yelled. The mummy turns around and growls ancient Egyptian at the two men as Tiye grabs Evelyn and drags her off the bed, away from the creature.
"Are you okay?" Tiye asked, checking the younger Carnahan over for wounds. Evelyn nodded her head and bit back a whimper of fear.
"Look what I got." Rick smiled proudly, lifting up Evys white cat. Imhotep shriek in fright before disappearing from the room in a whirlwind of sand.
"You all right?" Rick glanced over at the two frightened women, mainly aiming the question at Evelyn.
"Well, I'm not sure." Jonathan answered him, trying to catch his breath after such a fright. Rick turned around and sent the man a small glare.
"We have to go see my father." Tiye spoke up, helping Evelyn to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Right." The two women quickly grabbed a coat to put over themselves to keep themselves slightly warm in the harsh cold of the Egyptian night.
Rick drove the car to the museum with Evelyn and Jonathan sitting in the front. Tiye and Daniels seated in the back.
"Yes, well, according to legend, the black book that the Americans found at Hamunaptra is supposed to bring people back from the dead." Evelyn stated, following after the museum's curator and the Chieftain up the stairs to the top floor of the building. "Until now it was a notion I was willing to believe."
"Believe it, sister. That's what brought our buddy back to life." Rick sassed, glancing over at Evy.
"Yes, and I'm thinking that if the black book can bring dead people to life." Evelyn started.
"Then maybe the gold book can kill him." Tiye grinned, skipping up the stairs past the couple and towards her father and fiancè.
"That's the myth." Evy giggled slightly as she saw Tiyes excitement. "Now we just have to find out where the gold book is hidden."
"Imhotep. Imhotep." Everyone glanced around warily as they heard men chanting outside the museum. They rushed to the large window and glanced down upon the men of Egypt marching towards them, chanting the creatures name.
"Last but not least, my favourite plague boils and sores." Jonathan cringed. Tiye gagged at the sight of the Egyptian citizens and turned away, wandering over to a large stone statue with hieroglyphics scribbled all over it.
"They have become his slaves." Ardeth stated with disgust. "So it has begun, the beginning of the end."
"Not quite yet, it hasn't. Come on." Evelyn said before following Tiye to the stone, the men quickly following.
