Time

In a different time,
I'd ask you to dance.

I would step on you're toes.
You would teach me not to.

We'd dance through the night,
Then you would walk me home.

In a different time,
You would get taken from me.

You would fight in a battle,
One you didn't ask for.

I would lose you so quickly,
After I'd fallen so hard.

I'm not in a different time,
But it's too late to dance.

A perfect man,
Too good for our time.
