The rhythm of a song
and the rhyme of the lyrics
like poetry with a melody
sung by a mouth that's always a little off-key,
make the loud world fade away.
The gentle stroke of strings
and the way fingers meet keys
like long-lost lovers lusting for each other,
will always be the greatest creation humans have made.
When air turns magically into chords,
and wooden sticks make a reverberating sound,
eyes can't look away,
bodies are hypnotized to move,
and it's just us and music talking.
