Izayoi is carefree and reckless in nature, and, despite her consistent brawls with her cousin and Koga, she is fiercely loyal and protective friend. She is willing to go down fighting for her friends and family, regardless of how futile it might seem. Izayoi has a straightforward mind, and often tackles issues with a "hands on" approach.
Her solution to problems often involve. Even when disrespected or faced with obvious hostility, Izayoi rarely ever reciprocates the feelings, and often forgoes grudge-holding. She occasionally shows compassion for her enemies. Izayoi continuously tries to prove her strength to others. At various points in time, she has challenged Sesshomaru and Elizabeth, to fight her, albeit, she was beaten every single time.
Despite her losses, Izayoi bares them no ill will, as she considers everyone to be her family. She demonstrations this attitude even towards formal enemies. Due to her reckless nature, Izayoi's fights usually ends with widespread destruction. Izayoi's love of fighting has allowed her to develop a rather strategic mind, helping her on various occasions find weaknesses in her opponent's techniques, or simply weaknesses her opponents possess.
Izayoi has also defeated her opponents with pure wit, rather then brute strength. Izayoi, befitting her recklessness and love of fighting, never backs out of a fight. Izayoi is very close with her cousin Elizabeth and is always begging her parents to go visit her.

Powers and Abilities
Despite being a hanyo, Izayoi is actually the strongest member of her group.
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Izayoi developed great skills in unarmed combat which allows her to defeat almost any demon barehanded. However, opponents with greater experience such as Sesshomaru and Elizabeth still could predict and dodge her moves easily, eventually pushes her back.
