Chapter 72

Harry's POV

"Come on, let's get beer and I need a new shirt." Harry stands up, laughing.

"Aww but that one looked so good on you!" I reach up for him to take my hands. He pulls me up right into his bare chest. My hands pressing against him. So yummy.

"Yeah, that one's not going to work thanks to you." He smirks.

"Um, I didn't do that to myself!"

Harry leans into my neck, kissing my spot where he marked me. "You were loud, baby, totally hot." I know it's been only minutes, but just the feel of his warm lips on my skin has my heart beating faster.

"No one heard me right?! I mean the music is so loud!" I vaguely remember hearing voices come into the barn.

Harry pulls away, slapping my butt. "Who cares Grace. Let them think what they want! I thought you sounded amazing." He's grinning again.

"I owe you, and I'm happy to pay up." I say, looking straight into his beautiful eyes. His expression changes, his eyes raking over my body. Shit! What is wrong with me?!

"I promise to let you Grace. I know how much you want it, but Baby, we have to wait." He comes in close kissing me hard and gently biting my lip. Pulling away he takes my hand and opens the stall door, stepping out into the open barn. He has his T-shirt bunched up in his other hand. I jump over the bale of hay, and out of the stall.

Harry reaches up and starts pulling pieces of straw out of my hair. We turn to leave and see Kodi and Jess sitting on their own hay bale staring at us. Jess is grinning.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly say no one heard you." Kodi says, clearly pissed.

Harry busts out laughing, causing Jess to laugh. The only ones not laughing are Kodi and I. Of all the people in THE WORLD, it has to be Kodi who heard us?!

"Oh, hey, Kodi!" I say mortified, but trying to laugh it off.

"Need a new shirt Harry?!" Jess smirks. "There's one in Jenna's truck." She's still giggling, but trying to get control.

Harry takes my hand and we start to walk away. He's sensed my discomfort and has stopped laughing, but still a grin plays around the corners of his mouth.

"Is this funny to you Styles?!" Kodi slurs.

He's been drinking. Harry stops. Man Kodi, why couldn't you just keep your mouth shut. Harry's been drinking too, but he seems more in control, at least I hope.

"You got something to say, man?" Harry turns to face Kodi.

Jess grabs Kodi's hand. "Come on Kodi, let's go find..."

"Do you realize that Grace is totally into you, or don't you give a shit, just another piece of ass! She's a virgin, was anyway, before you came along." Kodi stands up stumbling slightly.

"Harry, he's drunk. Kodi knows you and I are serious, and that you wouldn't hurt me." I say trying to pull him towards the barn entrance. It's like trying to move a boulder.

"You need Gracie to talk for you?! Thought you were a tough guy!" Kodi takes several steps towards Harry.

Kodi you've got to fucking back off! I look at Jess, silently pleading for her help with Kodi.

Jess sees me and is trying to pull Kodi away. "Kodi, Harry won't hurt Grace. I know him, that's the last thing he'd ever do." Kodi pulls away from Jess, staring hard at Harry, challenging him.

Harry let's go of my hand taking a step towards Kodi.

"Listen Castle, I know you care about Grace, fucking everyone does! I've got so much shit this week about how I'm not good enough, she's making a mistake, whatever! I am NOT FUCKING FORCING HER to be with me, to FUCK me, or anything else! Man, she's free to leave anytime! I'll walk away and never come near her again." Harry turns to look at me.

"Do you want out? Are you unsure about me? Just tell me Grace, I'll do whatever you want." He says angrily.

His eyes are so green right now. I know he's angry, but I think he's worried I'll walk away. He couldn't know how much that would never happen.

"No, Harry. I don't ever want to be without you." I look into his eyes and see him relax as I smile.

"Kodi, please, you've always trusted me to make good choices, and I know you care, but I need you to hear me now. I WANT to be with Harry. He makes me happy!"

I look up at Harry. He's watching me. "I can't stop, Kodi... I'm in love with him." I say, my voice cracking.

I feel my eyes fill with tears. I said it. I said it straight to Harry's face and he didn't even flinch. I was so worried I'd scare him away, too serious, too fast, but I see I was wrong. There's something in his eyes.

Harry smiles at me, reaching out putting his hand around my waist and pulling me into him. He uses his thumb to wipe away the tears as they fall to my cheeks. "It's OK, Grace. I'm not leaving. I feel it too."

Jess takes Kodi's hand and he goes with her this time. I can see the hurt in his eyes. I can't even think about that right now. All I see is Harry.
