That tender glance now stands a stance,
To upset love and defy romance!
They say he bangs the doors in the morning when he leaves for work,
The loose hinges of a house, their home is a wreck.
They say she sleeps at morning light, when the lonely creaks of a falling roof fall silent,
Oh but they say, she lies to herself in the night,
She turns and tosses to the truth's demands!
