Chapter 4: Autumn's Finish

Now that Hawks has fired y/n, what the heck is going to happen? Don't worry, Hawks definitely has something planned. Also, this is happening a bit before Hawks teams up with Endeavor. Thanks for all the support for this story btw it's been super great! Enjoy!

"Not anymore y/n. I'm firing you."

"Oh....what!?"

"Since I'm your boss it is inappropriate for us to keep doing this...so I'll fire you, you'll get severance pay, and I'll hook you up with another agency in town. I don't want to have a work scandal, you know it's bad for the press. Don't worry, I'll make sure you get paid the same too. Oh, and do you want to go on a date with me too?"

"...Y-Yes, I do."

"Great!"

This was the last conversation you two had as boss and employee but just now you were realizing how crazy this situation was. Hawks, the number two hero, was interested in you and he wanted to go on a date with you!

Today was the day for your date too, so it was not exactly the right time to have doubts about this. There was one person who might know what to do though, a friend of yours from back home in Hosu. She was always so wise about these kinds of things...even though this particular situation had never happened to you before. 

But still, maybe she could help. You sat down on your bed and called her. The phone rang a few times until she picked up. She chuckled and her familiar laugh already put you into a better mood.

"Well well well. If it isn't y/n, the hotshot in Kyushu. How the hell are you doing?" She asked you, already making you laugh a little bit.

"I'm fine Hara...well actually I'm kind of in a weird situation...it's kind of crazy." You said, and she sighed.

"How could you not be in weird situation y/n? What's going on?"

"Well, I just got fired from my job and I have a crush on my ex-boss but when he fired me he asked me out on a date and I said yes. Oh and the date's today. And he hooked me up with another job at an agency in Kyushu." You explained to her and she remained silent for a few moments when you were done. "Still there Hara?"

"Y-Yeah, it's just...you weren't joking when you said you're in a weird situation my god!" She exclaimed. "But I mean...how do you feel about going out with him? He's always in the spotlight you know, is that fine with you?"

"I mean I don't know if I'm fine with it until I try. I just don't get why he's interested in me--"

"Oh y/n! Don't say that! He's interested in you for the same reasons you're interested in him. You're interesting, funny, and super cute and honestly, he'd be a fool to not be interested in you. Not doing something out of irrational fear is never a good reason to not do it." Hara told you, her words hitting you like a gust of wind.

You knew in your gut that she was right. Plus there was something extremely uplifting about hearing Hara voice her opinion on the matter. "Thank you, I-I really needed to hear that." You said, hoping that she could hear the gratitude in your voice over the phone.

Her light chuckling that ensued told you that she knew you were grateful. "No problem y/n. You better get ready for your date right?"

"Yeah, definitely." You replied with a smile. For the first time, your nervousness was fading away. It was now being replaced by excitement and giddiness at the thought of going on a date with Hawks.

Hara hummed and said, "Alright, but make sure to gimme all of the details later!" before she hung up the phone.

"Hmmm, but what the hell am I going to wear?" You asked yourself.
