Once Mr. Wilks and I left the girls I started to show him around Paisley. We walked in silence for a while. Occasionally when I'd show him something I would get a reaction of interest in a piece of art I have. That seemed to have his attention for the moment. Now it's time to address the elephant in the room. I love your daughter and I want to make her my wife. I heard him let out a slight breath and turn to me. She is my only daughter and I want the best for her. She's got a promising career and a bright future ahead of her. Now since I've been here you seem like a straight shooter. Mya seems to be happy. She is happy. I make her happy. She makes me happy. So you say but you have a reputation of being a ladies man. How do I know that you won't get tired of her and move on to the next pretty young thing you see. What's stopping you? Are you kidding me...? Alright sir I get that you are being protective of Mya but I assure you she and my son are my number one priority. I would never leave her or neglect my responsibilities as a father. I could tell he was taken back by my baldness and agressive reaction. Disrespecting Mr. Wilks  was the last thing I wanted to do but I had to show him how serious I am about Mya and Jeremiah. He finally looked me in my eyes for the first time. You love her he said it as more of a statement than a question. I do sir and my son with all my heart. I'm going to ask her to marry me but I know it would mean more to her if we had your blessing. Looking away from me I could tell he was deep in thought. A few moments had passed and he finally said you have my blessing. I almost wanted to ask him to repeat himself but I didn't wanna jinx it. Thank God... I was gonna marry Mya anyway but I knew this would make her happy. Thank you Mr Wilks I know that wasn't easy and I assure you Mya will be well taken care of in every aspect. I'm going to hold you to that. I'm sure you will. We shook hands and made our way to meet the ladies. As we where walking and conversing on the way to the kitchen. I saw Mya holding the baby. Hey Mr Wilks. Call me David. David why don't you go meet your grandson and I'll go check on dinner. Ok I'll let the girls know. Thanks see you in a bit. I'm glad everything worked out. Everyone is happy and most importantly Mya is happy. I love her and my son... Finally we all sat down and ate dinner laughing and talking. Jeremiah was making noises and enjoying his grandparents. I couldn't wait to look to see What the future holds for us. Speaking of the future. I have and an announcement to make. I told to my feet going to stand next to Mya. I going to make this brief but I want to thank you Mr. And Mrs Wilks for coming to visit. More importantly I want to thank the both of you for this beautiful women siting next to me. Thank you for our grandson. It was my pleasure... Jeremiah is definitely a blessing to all of us. He wouldn't if I hadn't met my in the park that day. You were and still the most beautiful girl in the world. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Getting down on one knee I pulled out a little blue box with Tiffany's written on it. The look on her beautiful face was worth a thousand words. Seeing the tears in her eyes I didn't want to keep her waiting anymore. I opened the box and Ask. Will you marry me? She looked up at her parents making eye contact with her father. He nodded his head with approval. She looked me in my eyes and said YES! I pulled her in my arms and kissed her passionately forgetting her parents were in the same room. I was excited that my queen had said yes. She said yes... She pulled away and went straight to her mother. They were both crying at this point. I was a little over joyed myself but I wanted Mya to havfe her moment. I knew would have our time later. David cane up to me extending his hand. Congratulations I expect nothing but the best for my daughter. Like I said before she and Jeremiah and the children in the future will want for nothing. I believe you Silvia and I will watch the baby tonight. I'm sure you and Mya will want to celebrate. Thanks we appreciate it. Finally Jeremiah went to bed with his grandparents. Mya and I headed to our room. We took a nice hot bath and made love to each other all night long falling asleep in each other's arms. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Mya.
