C H A P T E R S I X .
"—if opposites attract, then similars don't?"
I leaned back on my chair, before stretching my arms out and letting a yawn, it's been a long ass day and I can't wait to go home, yet we still have one last class with Mr. Moon which is Art class, I always tend to get excited whenever there's something that involves art since I've taken an interest on it since I was a kid—but today is an exemption
"I want to go home now," Donghyuck whined as he sprawled his arms out on the table, "I'm not even good at drawing, why am I still here?"
"We're all suffering, so stop being a whiney brat," I spat taking my art supplies from my bag and placing it neatly on my desk
Donghyuck sat up, glaring at me with a pout on his lips, "stop being a whiney brat," He imitated with a very high pitched and annoying voice, "gosh I swear you're just like Renjun,"
I looked at him, "what do you mean?" I asked,
He shot me a glare, "I think the only ones who actually like art so much and hates my whines are you and Renjun,"
"Donghyuck, everyone hates your whines," I laughed earning another glare from the tan boy, he hissed
"You—"
"Good Afternoon everyone," Mr. Moon walked in, a folder on hand, "today we're going to have an activity," he announced earning groans and whines—from Donghyuck of course
"Now, now, this is going to be fun so don't be whiney, I mean I wanted to go home as much as you guys do, so technically we're all suffering here," Mr. Moon said, my classmates laughing at his statement
He coughed, "anyway, as I was saying," he started, "today's activity is called, you interested me,"
"I'm going to assign partners and you are going to draw, sketch, paint your partners or their features that brought interest in you," he announced, "it can also be something that always caught your attention whenever you see them,"
"Also, the one who gets the highest marks will get a price and their art would be posted on the art gallery," he said, smiling widely, "I hope that makes you guys interested in this activity at least,"
"I just hope you're not my partner," Donghyuck said out loud and I was trying my best to not hit him
"Me neither," and as on cue, Mr. Moon started announcing the partners,
I looked at Jaemin and he looked back before smiling, "I hope I get you," he mouthed and I nodded my head, "me too,"
"Na Jaemin and Lee Felix," I frowned when I heard his name but with someone else,
"where the hell is my name?" Donghyuck asked, "I swear if I get you I'm going to cut classes, or even transfer schools," he mumbled and I smacked his head earning a groan from him
"That hurt—"
"Lee Donghyuck and Lee Jeno,"
Donghyuck stopped and his eyes widen, "oh come on!" He whined, "might as well throw myself off a cliff, gotta go,"
"Stop being dramatic, it's just Jeno," I told him,
His face turn into a serious one, "but he's boring," he pouted, "and what does he have that interest me?" He asked
I shrugged, "Why are you asking me? He's not my partner," I spat, "just go to him and examine his features, you might find something in him that will interest you," I said and he sigh before grabbing his bag and walking to the other side of the room,
My eyes locked with Jaemin's and trailed it to Donghyuck who is making his way to Jeno, we shared a sly smile and Jaemin teasingly whistle at the two, "oh what a coincidence, come on Jeno, ask Donghyuck if he believes in soulmates since I think only the both of you is that hopelessly romantic,"
Donghyuck glared, "stop teasing us, Jaemin," he warned, "besides, I think soulmates do exist," he said, loud enough for me to hear, and I stifle a laugh but soon stoped when I heard my name being called
"Hwang Renjun and (full name)," our teacher announced and I looked up, just to see Renjun already looking at me, before approaching me
"Hey, uh, hi," he stammered, "can I sit here?" He asked and I nodded before muttering a 'hello' back
"That's not fair!" Donghyuck shouted, "they're both artist, they're going to win!" Donghyuck whined
Mr. Moon looked at us, and smiled, "they are," he said, "but I don't think they're that close to be comfortable being partners," "let alone,draw each other,"
"You see, this activity is not just about showcasing your talent and such, it's about how you'd make new friends, get to know others and understand how other people see the people around them, since after you guys finish your work, you'll be explaining why that certain feature caught your attention," he explained and the class fell silent, Mr. Moon is really a great speaker and let alone teacher, "and the reason why I arrange partners is to see how you'd blend with other people, how you'd draw them, how you'd be inspired and how you'd show the thing you see in them by art, I also picked opposites and identical pairs, because," he trailed off,
Everyone is listening to him, "because sometimes, similar doesn't attract at all,"
He smiled, "well, what are you guys doing? Start talking with your partners and see what interest you with them,"
I looked at my side, the brown haired boy is looking down on his hands that were fiddling with each other, "hey, Renjun?" He looked up
"Nice to meet you?" My sentence became a question, "I'm sorry that wasn't supposed to be awkward,"
He laughed, his eyes disappearing slightly, "I think I know what caught my attention now," I muttered to myself
"Huh?" He asked, and stopped laughing, "I didn't quite catch that,"
"Oh, uh, nothing," I smiled awkwardly as I felt my cheeks burning in embarrassment, I looked down
"Can you look up?" He asked and I automatically looked up, just to see him smiling, "you look cuter when you blush," he muttered, yet I heard it clearly—which made me realize how close are faces were with each other,
My eyes almost bulged out of its socket, "I, what?" I asked, starring at his caramel colored eyes,
"Just kiss already!" Donghyuck shouted, making our eyes wide and leaning back, frantically, I cursed as Donghyuck shot me a sly grin before wiggling his brows,
I looked at Renjun who is looking down on his book, "hey Renjun," I called him, noticing that his ears were red, I slightly smiled at how cute they look, he looked up with a curious look written all over his face, my smile went wide, as I saw his flushed faced, "you look cuter when you're blushing," his face became red even more—if that was possible,
