A good nights sleep

My apologizes for the long wait, I have been really busy with college and writing other stories and I also sort of had writers block for a while. I will try to update more.

They both gave me blank faces and in complete unison, I'm not even kidding they really did speak in complete unison, said "Liar." I couldn't help but sweat drop at their instant reply. 'Oh well, I may as well tell them the truth.'

"So yeah..." Karma rubbed the back of his head and let out a little chuckle when he finished explaining the short version of his life, which btw took 4 hours.

Both Kakashi and the Third Hokage are staring at him with their eyes and mouths wide, completely gobsmacked by the story.

"You know, if you leave your mouths open like that flies are going to enter." Karma tells them both with a chuckle. "I know that it's a lot to take in but please treat me like you would any other kid, person, not 2 year old... You know what I mean." Karma says awkwardly, looking sheepish at the end.

'Hmm, ok, I understand. I think that it would be best to keep the truth about you between us for now. Others will no doubt be curious about you and your past so we should come up with a short simple story to tell them.' Lord Third told both him and Kakashi, which they both nodded to in agreement.

After the three agreed on Karma's "story" the Third told the two youths to get some rest, and Kakashi to being Karma to the Hokage's office first thing in the morning.

The two agree and bid the old man goodnight as he left. Kakashi then showed Karma a room that will be his from now on and where everything is in said room so that he knows his way around it and can get ready for bed.

Kakashi Pov

The next morning Kakashi woke up earlier than usual so that he can get all of the chores done and breakfast ready before going to Karma's room to wake up his new brother.

He gently knocks on the door for just in case the kid is already awake. After waiting a couple of moments and not getting a response, he quietly opened the door and peered in to be greeted with the most adorable sight ever. Karma is fast asleep, completely encased in the duvet making a cacoon or actually no... it's a carrot with his spiky hair poking out of the top like that.

Kakashi quickly found a camera and took a picture before going over to the boy and lightly shaking his shoulders to wake him up. Karma's eyes slowly open the look up to Kakashi sleepily. He let's out a small yawn, that he tries to muffle with his little fist, making Kakashi fangirl internally at his adorableness.

"Gawd mawning, Kaka." Karma says sleepily as he yawns again, all the while trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes. He then stretches his arms up to Kakashi in a silent request to be helped out of his cacoon. Kakashi happily complies and grabs the boy under his armpits and pulls/lifts him out of the duvet, then helps him stand onto the floor in front of him.

"I've made us some breakfast, so if quickly got change into the clothes that Lord Third gave you last night, when you come down we can quickly eat then go straight to the Hokage's office." He tells the smaller boy before ruffling his messy-surprisingly soft-hair. He then went down to the dining room to put the bowls of cerial and cutlery into their spots.

When Karma joined Kakashi at the table he says a quick thank you before digging in. Kakashi "digs" in as well but in a far slower pace than Karma who is inhaling the food.

Once they finish Kakashi takes the now empty bowls and cutlery into the kitchen to wash them. Karma fallows him and grabs a cloth to dry the dishes once Kakashi washes them. Kakashi doesn't question him and let's him dry the dishes, which he does very well.

When they finish they put everything away then leave the house, lock up, then head over to the Hokage's office. It's still quite early in the morning so hardly anyone is about the village. Karma looks around their path through the buildings excitedly, taking in everything that he can.

When they reach the Hokage's office they are greeted by the Third who also just arrived when they did. He lead the two straight to his office, unlocking the door, and lead them over to his desk.

"Last night after I left I managed to come up with a solution to the problem that you mentioned, Karma, and made this for you." The Third said as he reached into his pocket and brought out one of those black sweat bands that you can get for your wrists or ankles. He gave the sweat band to Karma and explained that he had put a special seal onto it that will change him appearance slightly.

"Thank you, grasps." Karma exclaimed happily and jumped onto the Hokage and hugged him.

The Hokage chuckled and pat Karma's back, "Your very welcome, Karma." Once Karma got down, the Hokage walked around his desk and sat down on his chair. "Remember to be careful, your appearance will only be different for as long as you wear the band."

"Understood." Karma says before putting the band around his foot to rest around his ankle. As soon as he put it on his hair turned a blondish white, his eyes both turned red, his spots under his eyes and mouth disappeared along with his scars. (I've made a minor change of what he looks like.)

"Very nice, or works quite nicely." Lord Third said nodding in approval whilst Karma checks out his reflection marveling over how he now looks.

"Umm, I need to get going to my team meeting." Kakashi said causing Lord Third and Karma to turn to Kakashi who had been watching everything quietly.

"Oh yes, of course. I shall watch over Karma whilst you are there them being him to you later." Lord Third told him.

Kakashi nodded in thanks then bowed his head in respect, gave Karma a ruffle of his hair saying a see you later before leaving to meet Team Minato.
