While running down the street, I took in the sights before me. The grocery store, restaurants, other schools, etc. There are so many other streets to explore, I didn't have time to do that yesterday because it was night and let's face it, people need sleep. The one thing about city life is that the city lights made everything look pretty.
Where there's a pro, the cons are not far behind. Night in the city is also dangerous, I've heard that kidnapping and shooting mostly happens by then. That's definitely nothing to be excited about to some people but some action once in a while is fine to me. I've reached the corner on a street before someone came tapping my shoulder.
"Well lookie what we have here, a little girl on her way to school". I turned around to come face to face with 2 men and judging by the way they talk and smell, I'm guessing that they were drinking a while ago. I mean come on? Who drinks so early in the morning?!
"Well thank you for stating the obvious, may I go now", I managed to grit out.I can't stand that smell! It's burning my nose and it's not just the alcohol. They smell like they haven't showered in days, like the people at home back in texas, the morning school bus always smells like butt! THERE'S A THING CALLED A SHOWER PEOPLE!!!! They moved closer to me trying to limit the space I have because we were at a light and cars were passing by. Oh my god my air is being contaminated! I can't breath!
I started backing up, trying to give myself some space and some air. 'They're in my personal bubble now', I thought. I need to finish this quick or they're gonna make me late to school!
"Why don't you come with us, we'll have some fun in the meantime", the other man slurred, making a move to grab me. Oh heck nah.
"Over my dead body,''I growled. Just when he was about to touch my shoulder , I gripped his arm, quickly pivoted, threw him over my shoulders onto the sidewalk. Wouldn't want him to get hit by a car now do we? The first guy looked mad before turning towards me, face full of anger.
"Why you little", he scowled before charging towards me like a football player in a football game. Don't ask me why he would do that but it was a pretty stupid move on his part. I quickly did a front over him, grabbing onto the rim of the shirt in the process so he doesn't fall onto the road. In doing so, he tried to use the force against me by applying a tackle.
Keywords: tried.
I took a step to the side, watching in amusement as he fell face first on the sidewalk, him clutching his head in pain. I merely smirk at the sight.
"When do they ever learn?" I muttered to myself, turning around and continuing my way to school. Well dashed to be exact. If I walk then the other one might recover. That and I don't wanna be late for my first day, that's just a bad first impression.
10 minutes later I was finally at the school.
For a high school , it wasn't really that big, there's only 3 floors. Who am I kidding , it's pretty big. The map on the pamphlet I got when my Mami registered me says that the gymnasium and auditorium is on the ground floor along with the cafeteria and offices. The classes on the bottom floor are for the core classes and the classes upstairs are for business computer, art, etc. While surfing through the pamphlet I notice a little note on the bottom.
Anyone that wishes to take martial arts must apply at the main office.
Welp on that note, and no I wasn't trying to make a pun, once I get my schedule I'm gonna skim through it and drop the classes I don't want but making sure I get the classes I want for last. I didn't know they give martial arts classes here! It's much easier that way for me to just leave the school since the exit is on the ground floor.
