Chapter Six

"Thank you, have a good day, hope to see you again." I smiled to the business man who had just bought a huge sculptor for his bachelor pad.

I put the receipt in the monthly envelope and tucked the thick envelope back into its' drawer. It was almost lunch time, and Honey said that she wanted to meet somewhere.

I hadn't seen her since we went to the club last weekend, so I wanted to catch up. I told Genesis to watch the shop for me while I was out and grabbed my purse before walking out of The Shop.

So where are we meeting? - Dylan

I sent Honey a quick text after hopping in my jeep and turning on the loud engine. When I first got the BMW from Jenine and Robert I thought I was in love, but when I bought my Jeep, that was what real love was like. Well besides what I had for my baby daddy.

The pet shop on Rodeo Drive! - Honey

The pet shop? What were we gonna eat there? I'd heard that some Asians ate cats and dogs, I didn't know it was true though.

You tired of eating chickens? Wanna eat some dogs? - Dylan

I plugged my aux cord into my iPhone and started to play Lil Durk's mixtape Signed To the Streets 2 before pulling out of The Spots' parking lot.

I parked next to Honey's C-Class Mercedes Benz Michael had bought her for her birthday last year and turned off my Jeep. She wasn't in her car, so I assumed she was in the pet store already.

I hopped out and walked into the PJ Pet Store. As soon as I walked in all the animals different cries filled my ears. Damn, I hated pets.

I spotted Honey looking at all the dogs the pet shop had. I walked over to her and looked down at the baby Golden Retriever she was holding.

"Since when do you want a puppy?" I asked her.

"Since the other day. I need the company while Michael's away." I knew that was why Honey had been so distant, she's been missing Michael like crazy. I would be too if I was her, I couldn't be away from Chris for too long. I started getting really emotional and snappy, it wasn't cute.

"I feel you. I'm sorry I haven't really been around Honey, I know you need us more than ever now that Michael's gone, I've just been so busy with the wedding and planning my showcase."

"It's alright Dylan, I don't blame you. You have a life and so do I, yours just happens to be more exciting than mine." Honey laughed, which startled the puppy she was holding.

"Well if you need excitement you need another dog, cause that one's sleep." I laughed and looked down at the small golden puppy that was curling back into his position to go back to sleep.

"Yeah true." She laughed and put the dog back into the cage.

We walked around the store just looking at all the different puppies they had.

"I like this one, look Dylan." Honey pointed at a small Yorkie baby girl. She was actually really cute, I wouldn't mind taking her home.

Chris said he loved dogs, and I didn't really mind them either when they were quiet, we just hadn't done anything about it. I was gonna text Chris and see what he thought about getting a dog.
