"Ricci," Ricci turned his phone off bago bumaling sa kaibigan niya na nakatayo sa may hamba ng pintuan ng kwarto niya.

"Today's her last day," Brent started slowly, "You promised."

Mariing pumikit si Ricci at humugot ng malalim na hininga, "Dude, you know... you know I can't." His voice broke and shook his head as tears started to fall, "I don't want to see her there... Brent, I don't want this!"

"Bakit siya pa? Why does she have to be taken away so soon? She did nothing wrong! We did nothing wrong naman ah... Bakit pa siya binigay sa akin kung babawiin lang din naman agad?"

Brent couldn't do anything but to just listen to his bestfriend as he pour his heart out. Ever since Tres died, it seems like everyone's lives was put on hold and Ricci had it worst.

He couldn't accept it, hell, he doesn't want to accept the truth that Tres is already gone.

"Ricci, Tres wouldn't want to see you looking like this..." Brent finally said, "Hindi naman niya tayo iiwan kung alam niyang hindi natin kakayanin."

"Babalikan kita mamaya. We're going to see her. Okay?" Brent said before stepping out of the room.

Putangina. Ricci thought and shook his head.

It's has only been days but he missed her so much.

The way she chuckles.

The way her eyes twinkles.

The way she looked positively on everything.

He badly needed her optimisim.

He badly needed her smile.

He badly needed to see her.

But Tres isn't coming back to give him that.

"Sahia?" Ricci lazily sat up from his bed and tried to smile at his baby brother, si Riley.

"Come here, Peppa..." Ricci said and reached out to his brother, "Sahia needs your power hug."

Sumunod naman agad si Riley at kumandong sa kanyang Kuya. He was holding a recorder he found on his drawer.

"Ano to?"

"I saw this sa kwarto ko, I think this belongs to Achi. She let me borrow it dati pero nakalimutan ko ibalik." Riley paused and looked down, "I'm sorry, Sahia."

When Riley left, that's when he moved. He picked up the recorder and confirmed that it was Tres' based on the pink letter 'T' sticker at the back.

He never knew Tres keeps a recorder with her.

For a few minutes, all he heard was Riley's voice clips and he almost believed that Tres hasn't anything stored on it yet.

But then it played...

"I don't even know why I'm recording this..." He smiled when Tres' voice played.

"I don't even used to like this song, masyadong malungkot. But then Ricci used one of the lines as his caption para sa picture ko and then... I kind of fell in love with it."

The next few seconds were silent and then he heard a strumming of guitar.

"So lately, I'm wondering, who will be there to take my place?"

"Fuck," Ricci muttered ng magsimula na namang tumulo ang kanyang mga luha, "Why do you keep on hurting me, Love?"

"When I'm gone, you'll need love to light the shadows on your face..."

"I'll go wherever you will go, but I guess, we still have to wait a little more."Ricci said during the eulogy, "If only I could right now, Love. Kaso... baka mamatay naman sa lungkot si Brent at Bryce."

The guests cracked a smile as Ricci continued his speech, "You're so unfair. You said people should keep their promises pero bakit ikaw, hindi mo ginawa? You promises to cheer me on my next game, you promised we will spend our first holidays together, you promised we will spend our lives together forever. Pero paano ko yon magagawa ng mag-isa lang? How can I live my life without you, Tres?" Ricci bursted into tears again at lumapit na si Brent para alalayan ang kaibigan.

"How can I live while you left with my heart?"

"Then, I hope there's someone out there who could bring me back to you..."

"If I could"

"Then I would" Ricci sobbed as he walked through Tres' coffin. His fingers shake as he held the coffin's edge.

"I'll go wherever you will go..." He sang softly and kissed her cold and lifeless body, "I'm setting you free, my wander girl."
