Michael got up early and decided to make Jada some breakfast. After he got back from Jersey a few days ago, he's been visiting Jada more frequently. Spending the night and whatnot. He walked in the room and set the tray of food down so he could wake her up.
"Jada, I made breakfast," he whispers while shaking her. She stirs a bit before waking up.
"I'm surprised you didn't burn the place down," she jokes. Michael couldn't help but admire her. She looked so stunning whenever she woke up first thing in the morning. He grabs her phone and opens the camera application.
"Smile," he tells her. Jada puckers her lips and looks directly at the camera. Michael takes a good long look at the photo before showing her."I think that's my new favorite picture of you," Michael says sitting down. He hands her the plate of pancakes and eggs as she sits up.
"This almost looks appetizing," she comments.
"Stop slandering my cooking, I'm pretty decent," Michael chuckles. "I swear it won't kill you."
"Now I'm even more worried," Jada giggles. "Remember what we said our resolutions were?"
"Yes, I do. No more lying and secrets," Michael answers.
"Which means?"
"Can't sleep with you anymore until I come clean to Lindsey and end it," he replies.
"Good. I'm not gonna pressure you, do it when you feel ready," Jada says while eating. "But don't keep me waiting for an eternity."
"I would never," he says while kissing her head.
__________Mica and Jada got in an argument in the kitchen. It was about the affair obviously. Mica asking about it, and Jada was avoiding her questions only confirming that she and Michael were still seeing each other. Jada stormed away afterward, feeling a bit empty now that one of her closest friend practically hated her. She wanted so badly to pull Michael in the supply closet to make her feel better, but that would break their resolution. She could do it with Trevor, however, he'd just annoy her with his worry. She slumps in her seat and sighs deeply.
"Hey Jade," Geoff greets. "Why the long face?"
"Mica and I got into a fight. She pretty much hates me," she grumbles.
"What happened?" Geoff asks sitting next to her.
"I don't wanna talk about it." Geoff raises an eyebrow at her, he could figure out what it was about but didn't press her. He subtly drops advice to them which they sometimes take but that's it."Well, whatever the reason may be, I think you should cool it," Geoff hints. "It's best for both of you."
"I know Geoff. I'm cooling it," she says. "It's just so hard because—" Jada closes her eyes to stop the tears from falling.
"You'll manage. You're a strong girl," the gent smiles. "Fight the urge."
_______________Jada and Michael had already managed to break their resolution. It was worth it at the time, but the fight with Mica and Geoff's words of encouragement kept swirling around in her head.
"Our resolution starts now," Michael mumbles while cuddling her.
"Am I really this weak?" Jada asks herself quietly.
"You're not weak sunshine," Michael says.
"We broke our resolution the same day we made it," she huffs. "Mica isn't talking to me because of us."
"What are you saying?" the lad asks sitting up.
"I'm saying... We need to end this for real until you tell Lindsey," Jada answers.
"Are you serious? Solana, it's not that de—"
"I mean it. I love you, but I can't let this continue," she says cutting him off. Michael stares at her dumbfounded trying to find words to say. All he does is place his hand on her face, but she moves it away."So are you just gonna ignore me now at work?" Michael asks growing visibility upset. "Just go back to how things were? Go back to ignoring our feelings?"
"Michael please," Jada says feeling defeated. "It's for the best. I can't keep living in a web of complications. If you truly want to be with me you know what you have to do." Michael scoffs and gets out of her bed, gathering his clothes. Now he knows how she's felt before.
"Solana," Michael says.
"Michael," Jada replies. "I'll be waiting."
