Tiana's POV

"Are you?" We both turned around to see none other than Jason Dellucci.
He was eerily calm as he stood tall. He walked over to me and helped me to my feet, before turning to Alec. "So Alec, what are the plans you have for my girl?" Jason questioned.

"Your...girl?" Alec asked slowly.

"Yeah, my girl" Jason started to slowly walk towards him "So tell me what your plans were," a step closer "or why she was on the floor when I walked out here," two steps closer "or you can explain the handprint on her face!" I blinked and Jason had Alec against the wall by his neck.

I gasped and stepped back as Jason pulled out a gun and held it to Alec's chin. "I'm s-sorry" Alec choked out in fear.

"I know you are." Jason spat.

"Jason!" I cried.

"Go back inside Bambina." He demanded, never turning from Alec.

"No, let him go!"

"I SAID GO INSIDE TIANA." He yelled.

"AND I SAID NO!" I countered. He turned to look at me slightly annoyed before letting go of Alec, throwing him to the floor gasping for air. Then Jason kicked him the rib before tucking the gun back into his pants.

"Go inside and get your things. I'm taking you home." He instructed leaving no room for argument.

I stared at him for a minute before deciding to just do as he said to do. Something about him was different. He wasn't the same Jason. This Jason was cold and hard. Slightly more demanding, although that's to be expected. But the thing that really scared me was the gun, how natural he looked with it. Like it would be nothing to end someone else's life. It bothered me.

I finished getting my things and clocking out, putting on my long coat before I before walking out. I didn't even get to count my tips because I had to stuff them in my bag, so that I can get out of here as fast as possible. Alec is definitely the type to try and retaliate by getting his father to fire me, and with the mood Jason's already in, that scenario won't end well. I took out my phone to text my brother and let him know that I was getting Aiden tomorrow morning. Just as I had sent the text when I felt a hand on my waist. I whipped around and tried to get em with my key, but they dodged.

"It's just me." I blinked to see Jason standing there with a smirk.

He took my hand and lead me to his sleek black Porsche. I felt a sudden burst of heat when his hand touched mine. He opened the door for me guiding me in. Then he shut my door and walked over to the driver side. We sped off into the night.

"Happy Birthday," I spoke softly.

"Thanks" he murmured, not taking his eyes off the road.

We sat in silence after that. It's funny how things change. Four years ago, me and Jason would've been holding hands and joking. Jay, as always, was paying more attention to me than the road. Me staring while I think he's not looking. Now he had both hands on the steering wheel, and I was playing with my hands out of pure anxiety. It was just awkward. I knew it was my fault, because I broke up with him, I just didn't think that I'd ever see him again. Aiden would remain a secret, and Jason would move one with some other girl that was as rich as him. But sitting here next to him, makes me realize that I didn't want that. I want Aiden to know his father. I want to be with Jason. Have a family, like we talked about. I knew I would have to tell him soon. 'But how.'

"So how's Spelman?" Jason asked breaking the silence.

"Umm, I took a year off, to help my grandma, but just ended up transferring to a JC," I answered.

It wasn't a complete lie. I took a year off because it got too hard to take care of Aiden, work, AND go to school. So I transferred to a JC. It was less stressful, and I could transfer my credits back to Spelman when I'm ready. It'll probably be soon since I get my AA in business two months from now, and Aiden's in school now.

"Oh." He responded.

"How was Dartmouth?" I asked.

"It was okay." He smirked.

"Just alright." I teased as we pulled up in front of my apartment.

He got out and came around the car to open my door. He grabbed my duffle and walked with me to the door. I unlocked it and led him in. "Um, you can wait on the couch, while I change out of my work clothes."

"Sure" He grunted before dropping my bag by the couch and sat down gracefully.

I went into my room and closed the door, and inhaled and excelled deeply. I have to tell him, and it has to be tonight. Fuck. But first, we have to talk about that shit that went down at the club. Yes, I've seen Jason lose his temper, and I know that he hasn't always the best control over said temper, but I would've never guessed that he was capable of sticking the barrel of a gun into someone's temple, and be completely serious about pulling the trigger to end their lives.

Jason's POV

I sat on Tiana's couch while she was changing and decided to look around. I saw some pictures of her and her family on the wall. Some of her and her best friend Vivian (Viv). However, the picture that caught my eye, wasn't on the wall. It was on the coffee table.

The frame said Aiden's 1st Birthday. There was a baby with cake smeared all over his face, and he was trying to feed Tia some. His hair was curly, and he had Tiana's nose with my everything else. I was instantly pissed. How could she keep some shit like this from me? I stood there studying the baby boy in the picture. If my timing is right he is probably five years old by now. That means five years I've missed out on my son's life.

I heard Tia emerge from her room and I didn't even bother to turn around. I couldn't stand to look at her right now, "When were you going to tell me?" I questioned her.

"Tell you what?" She was playing stupid.

I turned around to look at her face. She had changed into some leggings and a sweater. Her eyes caught the picture in my hand, and she hung her head low in shame.

"When were you going to tell me that I have a son"
