Eridan's confused yell echoed through the woods.
"What the hell? Why is he yelling for Sollux...?" Jade turned to Feferi.
"I don't know, maybe we should check on him?" Jade nodded and led the way, following their trail back to their separation point.
Eridan sat on the log, his lip swollen from the bite. He fixed his cape around his shoulders and hid the necklace in his shirt. "Why is he playing these fucking games. And today of all days." Eridan groaned before standing up and retrieving his gun. He heard more rustling in the bushes and sighed. "Sol, I swear to cod if you're pullin' this shit again I"ll rip your horns right off your head."
"Sol?" Feferi popped her head out of the bushes. "Eridan, did he jump out of the woods and scare you again..?" She walked out, a giggling Jade behind her.
"He-" Eridan thought for a moment. "Yes..." He let out a defeated sigh. "Are you guys done with this? I don't feel good." He looked at the two girls hoping they'd believe his excuse.
"We're not done, but if you wanna ditch us, be our guest." Jade said concerned. Eridan never missed out on a chance to hunt. "You need us to bring you anything later?" Eridan shook his head and walked back toward his hive.
"How the hell did he even get inside!?" Eridan threw his hands in the air exasperated. "I swear to cod I locked that door...." He walked to his front door and turned the knob. "Locked. So how the fuck did he get in?" He unlocked the door and walked inside. He continued to talk to himself as he removed his cape and hung it up. "What the fuck did he even want from in here anyways?"
"I don't kn-"
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT SOL GET OU T HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE WHAT IN CODS NAME ARE-" Eridan's terrified shouts where hushed by Sol's lips.
"Quiet time, Fithdick." He pulled away and sat back in the chair he was sitting in. Eridan just stood there, stunned for a moment as Sollux continued to talk. "You know, your hive doethn't thmell like complete asth like I thought it would. It actually thmellth pretty damn good." He sat with a smirk on his face.
"Thank you?" He walked toward Sollux and sat on the other chair. "Sol. How and why are you in here""
"Good quethtion my dear, Dick." I stopped by, hoping you were home still, but you left. So i came inside and waited. I waited for a while. A good thirty minutes, just playing around with your old swords and jewelry. But, I got bored. So, I started messing with the big nicklath you're thtill wearing. I thaw your cape on the floor covered in thopor thlime tho I cleaned it and took it with me to find you."
"But why find me?"
"You know, I kinda get why you wear capeth all the time. It feelth like having a hug all the time. I might thteal one from you thometime..." He smirked and stood up again.
"Why find me though, Sol?!" Tink! "Don't touch that, damn it!" Eridan grabbed Sollux's wrist and pulled it away from the shelves.
"What'th your fathcination with thethe necklatheths anyway?" Sollux turned himself around in Eridan's grip to face him.
"Why should I tell you?" Eridan narrowed his eyes and tightened his grip. They sat and stared at each other for a moment in silence. They began to close the gap between them before a female voice took them out of their trance.
"Eridan? We found your rings on that stump you were sitting on." Jade was standing outside. She opened the door and entered. "Oh- OH. O H! Shit- I'm sorry guys!" She blushed a deep crimson and set the rings on the desk. "I'll just.... go." She ran out of the hive clumsily, giggling as she closed the door.
"Where were we?" Eridan smirked before pulling Sollux forward by the wrists and kissing him.
